Very Interesting discussion on this board. I have following questions. Hope members can help. I was surprise to see few Indians on the board.
Background:
I am 40 years old Indian born - American Citizen. I look like 30. Slim ( 135 pounds ).
Fair looking ( like Hispanic )not dark brown. But short 5-3".
1)I am tired of working hard. And may be midlife crisis. I don't have to travel oust of USA for work. I want to spend at least 10 days in BKK. How do I go to BKK without informing my family that where and why I am going.
2)Is 10 days enough in BKK??
3)How much money do I need for 10 days? I am not super rich.
4)Would I face any discrimination in BKK among TG???
Most important questions for Indian brothers:
Why do you prefer this kind of enjoyment? Generally specking Indians are conservatives and religious people. We were told by our elders that sex outside marriage is kind of sin.
Or may be ask this controversial question: May be Indian women are not that attractive and we don't get enough sex???

My opinion on the points raised by you:
1. Difficult to answer this question without knowing your background. You are the best judge on this one.
2. Yes, 10 days is enough for a first trip with the right guidance. After that, for some friends even three days will be enough at a time and for some even a lifetime will be too short.
3. A very rough estimate per day :
Hotel : $30 to 60 should get you a good clean hotel
Food, conveyance, sundry : $25
Drinks at bars, etc : $25 to $200 depending on whether you go to bars or clubs
Girls : $30 to 120 depending on several factors including the number of girls you take.
Looking at the above you will see that you can be quite comfortable with $200 per day. But this is highly subjective and you have to work this down the other way. So start with the money you are comfortable spending and set yourt own limit.
4. You should not face any discrimination, spcially considering you are fair skinned.
The last question is a bit subjective but I will try to answer it.
As for why, the quality of sex available in India generally is no patch over what the Thai girls offer. As a rule, Indian women are very conservative and this shows in their aproach to sex and over the years sex has become a taboo subject. A pity in the land of the Kama Sutra 
This has percolated even down to commercial sex which by my opinion does not compare with what one finds in Thailand. For sheer sensuality, you can't beat the Thai women. This is no reflection on the beauty of the Indian women. You have mixed up beauty with sex in your question. They are two different subjects altogether. I personally feel that Indian women are among the most beautiful. Didn't we have Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen as Miss Universe and Miss World five years ago? And again Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Asia and Mrs. World all four from India three years ago? But then beauty and good sex are two different things. (Besides beauty is not necessarily warm. It can be very cold at times.) This is purely my opinion and I am sure there will be other opinions on the subject.

Well kris answer all your questions but how do you get away for 10 days without informing your family. If you find a answer let me know and I will use the same method  Just kidding
Just like you I am from the same region but mix and I have a fair skin as well. I had no problem hooking up with any TG on my last 3 trips including lots of free bees.
Just a word of caution without any offense to any south Indian brothers is to make sure you dress good ( don't have to dress in versace/armani) but not kmart clothing either. And use deodarant because thai people are very clean and talking to lots of TG's only complaint they have about Indian is they stinks. Be polite and nice and I am sure you won't have any problem getting into any club/go go and hooking up with some cuties

Problem with Indian girls is they are just a bit too shy. Once you give them a few drinks and have them behind closed doors they do get wild.

Thai people are very sensitive to smell and even a clean Indian guy may not smell good to them depending on his diet. The same is true for farang, but as an Indian there will be a heightened sensitivity toward you. Of course, being a married guy you may not have a choice about controlling your diet (at least for the first few days).
I don't want anyone to be paranoid about their own aroma, but it's worth a thought and may make a slight difference in how some girls treat you.

Q: 2; 10 days is plenty, and maby too much for some.
Q: 3; Not counting airfare, i'd say $1200 up to $2000 is plenty for 10 days. Remember why you're going...
Q: 4; Everybody faces discrimination now days...

Thailand is at least a 2 or 3 shower a day place. I change clothes 2 times a day. As a white American, I know I have a aroma from diet that the Thais find offensive.

u can try this method....
once u have find out how much the whole trip is gonna cost u, go to a tour agent and book yourself a ticket plus accomondation!!
next, tell yr family u are invited to a company dinner, or a rich friends birthday etc etc. enroute go and collect yr ticket. and when u go home, happily announce that u have won a top prize during the dinners' lucky draw, an all expense paid holiday for one in Thailand for ten days!!!
