Hi all,
I will be staying near Laos embassy which is on the bottom of Ratchadapisek road. I know that street is infamous for high class MPs but I am a bargain shopper. Is there anything there good to go to? Plus, I prefer freelancers, since my last time with an FL was the best I can ever ask for, so is there any freelancers there in walking distance.
I have two questions... most of my free time will only be during the daytime so is there anything to do during the daytime near there (from 10am to 5pm)?
Second, I heard that bringing travelers checks is better than using ATMs or cash. Is that true and why?

daytime around ratchada, sorry there are sure some guys who know moe then i do about that, nighttime RCA, definetly worth to be seen, if youre careful and not too straight forward a great place to pick up cuties. Concerning my experience, ATM is the much better option, ATMs all over the town, no closing time, no passport.

daytime is great for the MP's. i've been to Emanuelle and J1. which, to me, are great. during the early afternoon hours, there are alot of girls to see before the rush hour comes. and they'll be nice and fresh.
traveller checks are good. cash them at the hotel lobby, before going out. but some hotels don't exchange after late nught hours. but, you can always walk to another hotel. i use ATM's from respectable banks. so either way is good.

The main reason why I ask is the last time I went about ATMs versus Travelers checks is cuz the last time I went... some Thai bank charged me a 10 dollar surcharge for using their ATM. I was pissed but I was trying to figure out if this is the norm or not?

Hey brother DC, I prefer travelers checks ( American Express ) because if they are lost or stolen you can get them replaced easily. Lose your ATM card and you're probably in deep foodoo. Peace
