On my first trip to BKK I was basically lost. I had know idea where I was, but that was a good thing-seeing what I could get into. On my next trip I had a TG show me around and I learned a little more. On the next few trips since then I've had someone show me around. I bring this up because it is not always easy to get rid of someone showing you around. I remember looking on the web before my last trip. I found this map that listed everything!! I mean everything. I'm madd I didn't mark it, cause it would be perfect for newbies. It had guest friendly hotels, BTS stops, and even what type of bar and how much services would cost you. This would be great for anyone. Not saying we don't pass each other enough info here, but just to have it all roll up in a map with street names was really good. So what I want to know is does anyone have a link to any maps like this or maybe you could scan one. Or BK can update the one on this page...

Probably referring to the sanuk maps..
they put them on a yahoo group so easy to keep track of if you have yahoo groups on your yahoo home page.. works very well along with the yahoo email which is much better than hotmail.

Hey Oaktoad you are on it!! Those are just the maps I came across and used well on one of trips a year ago. But Bangcock is right. The are a bit outdated now. Cause the Landmark is a girl friendly hotel, from my experiences. Well all newbies should have this map just to have an idea even if they are going to have a guide. I wonder if we can get them updated?

Yep these maps may be a little outdated, but I used them extensively to locate bars, MP's, hotels etc.
A great reference for the newbie.

The maps could be updated, but 99% of the info is still accurate. Things like whether a hotel are GF or not are subjective.

Yes, for the most part they are accurate. But we all know how often things change in LOS. For a newbie with nothing but this map to go by I'd like him to have as much updated info as possible. Then again to me the fun is finding these places on your own. It's just that there are soooo many places and sooo little time.

Yup, the sanuk maps are the ones you want. I recommend also buying a copy of Nancy Chandlers Map to Bangkok - Not any good for P4P, but great in all other senses

Only the Soi Cowboy section has been updated.
Only a few names of bars have been changed, but still good for newbies to find "entertaining" locations.
