In the hot season, what's the average temperature(in farenheit)? also what techniques do the regulars use to stay out of the red while drinking everyday?
I try to drink about 2 liters of h2O in the morning after a night of drinking. then one more glass with lunc and dinner. you guys think this will be enough when it's the hot season there? does anyone else have a tried and true system?

Average high temp in april (the hottest month) is 94F , in Dec (the coolest month) 87.8F - Seemingly not that much of a difference.

Just think of your body as a leaking radiator and keep topping it up with water constantly throughout the day. I don't think one glass with lunch and dinner is as effective and a series of sips all day long.
I would also advise cutting down on coffee and other diuretics (except alcohol!) for obvious reasons.
Another tip I heard was to drink a glass of water for every alcoholic drink when you go out. Personally, I think this defeats the purpose of going out and having fun.

94 degrees. thought it would be more than that.
the humidity most be very high for people to make a big deal about that.
I think drinking water after every drink would be best, but I don't see myself doing that.

Another way is to order a mixed drink, say, a Jack Daniels and coke, and then eat the ice after you've finished. That's almost equivalent to a glass of water. The faster you eat the ice the faster you can order another one!

I would guess that the ice would be store bought - I doubt that any nightclubs or bars would take the trouble to make their own ice.

Usually it's store bourght...very cheap...but you needn't worry about tap water in BKK these days...it is officially drinkable...and I have done so regularly

Well, YURUNE is still alive and that's a proof of something....
In my case, I prefer to stick myself to the bottled SINGHA water and, whenever possible, ice coming from 7-11....
