Stay at the Nana. It is an experience. Check in to the hotel and then walk across the street, should cover your first night at least.

on my last trip I wore a rut into the pavement from the side door (disco exit) of the Nana across the street to the Dynasty. The "D" is next to NEP and across from the Angels Disco in the Nana Hotel. Perfect for Sukhumvit prowling.

An hour to read all the posts, more like a week.
There is always something new to learn even if you have been visiting LOS for several years.
Wish I had know about this several years ago.
It might have prevented me from one or two mistakes.
Then again some of the mistakes were quite fun!!

You haven't booked a hotel yet? Well, that's the first thing to do. I recommend Dynasty or Nana Hotel. They are at the centre of the action (Nana, Cowboy). Also, it is near the BTS so you will have no problems getting around. Good luck!

VITAL IMPORTANCE IS TO STUDY AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK IN HERE !!!!!
Before getting there:
1) Get yourself hooked with one of the bros living in there.
When getting there:
2) Arrange meeting In Gullivers Tavern.
Be Specific WHERE YOU SIT. Give something which they can use to find You.(Look for beerdrinking deer-in-headlights-looking guy does not work)
Place is big but You can PM or post Your whereabouts (next to jukebox at left wall , under the rotating car...)when getting there , two free Internet computers in there.
3)Load Your wallet for evening 10000 OK , you do not have to spend it all.
4) Tavern is good for birdwatching and other things.
5) If this fails , go to Beergarten or New Wave , Soi 7.
6) If still failing , take BTS to soi Cowboy and do the deed.
7) If still failing , head for Nana Plaza.
8) If STILL failing , check Your pants and go home , 55555 !
