I fly to BKK today arriving Sat. afternoon, (the pleasure bit of an unexpected last minuite business trip). My problem is that when I was in BKK last month I took two different BG out, (brilliant until the last but one day when we all met at the Grace Hotel at 3.00am and I had some explaining to do..) the question is which is best for songkran fun? Does anything change in the bar scene? Here are the descriptions 1) wild in bed, gets drunk like like me , bit emotional, happiest in bars etc, phones me in UK every couple of days, attractive but not stunning - a bit short- 22 yrs old, not been out with her in the day. 2) Very attractive, a real cutie, 29 yrs old, much quiter, tries to play pool (hopeless), better at waking before the afternoon - been sightseeing with her, seems very genuine , hurt when she saw me with other girl before but prepared to overlook it and we made up on last day, phoned me once in UK. I don't want to offend anyone by crass juggling this time (unless you have a good suggestion)- I will be in BKK for 5 nights and neither girl knows my exact times yet. - How do I play it?

Do what you like. As long as your polite and have good manners don't worry about anything. You may think I'm being hard but, your the customer. I'm still stunnned at how many people forget that.

Well I ran into same situation first couple of nights at Grace. These are the only two nights I actually made it to Grace  But I politely told the girl that I am a butterfly and treat me as your customer and thats all there it is. No more no less. She understood my point and left me alone...

The brothers, the girls, or both? I suppose it's up to the girls if they get upset. Sounds like it's pretty common. IMO, we're already skating on thin ice because we're guests in another country operating largely within the culture's grey areas and lucky to have it so good. I for one would be at least a little concerned about pissing off a local unnecessarily. So, more to the point, I don't think bigjon was being too much of a pushover in that regard.

Hey brother Jon, welcome to the brotherhood. Since Songkran is suppose to be a fun celebration with everyone having a good time then I would think the obvious choice, from your discriptions, would be lady #1. She seems the most outgoing and would probably get into the festivities a bit more then #2.
However if you have any thoughts about wanting to allow yourself the joy of partaking in the GFE, or girlfriend experience, then you may have just stumbled upon one of those rare jems that some of us do hope to have the good fortune of meeting while we're in LOS.
Lady #2 sounds like the kind of lady that you may want to stick around for a while. You have to decide what's more important to you during this trip. Having a few laughs for a few days with lady #1 or spending quality time with someone who may have an effect on you that could last for quite some time. Decisions, decisions. Peace

Normally a good % of Freelancers, BGs go home for Songkran, so maybe you wont find them both here, alot who stay in Bangkok and want to enjoy/sanuk - will go/take you to Khosan road during the day, for me, its not really a great time, I stock up on Books/Videos and call 1112 ALOT ! - Best time is next Fri/Sat, when they all return fresh and broke from I-sarn -

i cant agree with u more!!! thru the years, many buddies asked me how much fun is Songkran??
well, i havent attended one yet!! my perception is that most gals will be home for the New Year, and the Bar scence will be pretty empty, not to mention inflation!!
unless u got a galfriend to usher the New Year, if not go there after all those celebrations where most TGs will be needy for $$ after the New Year bash.
jsut my thoughts!!

Yes, it seems to be eerily quiet in certain places here in BKK at the moment, with many bars being closed for a couple of days. So many girls have gone back home for a holiday. I'm having a break from the girls for a couple of days & am currently amusing myself wandering around Sukhumvit Road with my newly-purchased high-power water-gun in search of unsuspecting victims. I'm giving myself 5 points for a tuk-tuk driver, & 10 points for a ladyboy.....
