Alright Bros,
I'm looking at going to LOS for the first time this coming October and want to do as much research as possible. I have some buddies that have gone to LOS already in the past and I'm looking forward to going on the next trip with them. I've gotten a lot of great information on this site and I thank everyone on here that have devoted their time to supporting Newbies and curious ones like me.
For the ones that have been there many times or for the ones that live there, can you recommend some things for me to do before the nightlife kicks in. I'm not fortunate enough to live with someone who will understand the real reason for me going to LOS. So, I need to take some (2 weeks worth) of photographs of me doing tourist stuff for my own alibi. Plus I can write it off as a business trip. I'm particularly interested in checking out some Muay Thai fights, touring the Buddist Temples and/or taking an Elephant Safari/Ride. Of course it needs to be close enough and short enough for me to get back, so I can go back to what I there for originally. . . lust and fornication. 
Oh better yet, how easy will it be for me to find a BG to play tourguide for me in the morning?

Finding a BG to serve as tourguide or simple companion should be rather easy. Just explain what you want from her and agree on a price. Figuring out where you want to go is a matter of either asking her, consulting your hotel concierge, or grabbing a guidebook. There are many conventional daytime tourist attractions to visit in Bangkok alone.
Right now I'm reading about several such locations in the fifth edition of Frommer's Thailand travel guide. It's an excellent book with up-to-date information and simple suggestions that are outspoken enough to allow for making quick decisions on-the-go. I highly recommend it.

The first time that I went to BKK (B4 being fortunate enough to stumble upon this forum), I picked up a BG, and had her take me places... of course I paid for the both of us, but, we went a lot of tourist places. Since then, I do the same, especially when I go to Cambodia. Those girls never get to travel!! They are very greatful for the opportunity.

Postcards having pictures of temples , palaces etc...
Send them and it works.
From my experience:
You can skip visiting the places.Just wiew a vdo of them and study it.
Weak point: If You run into somebody who really HAS seen them , what's plan B ??
Other good evidence is to get some photos from You in front of temple / palace / fine building / park.
You can get a rollfuls of those in one day.
Just remember to change clothes for different sets.
Souvenirs work like charm. Just suitable amount and not TOO expensive (why he is bringing SOOO fine gifts...?).
For the one-who-does-not-understand , I suggest nice Chinatown goldchain or rayskin purse.
They hit the spot AND You can always make fine story about HOW MUCH TIME it took to find "the right piece" , just for You.
SAFETY PRECAUTION: CHECK YOUR BRUSH AND COMB (and other suitable equipments) CAREFULLY BEFORE GOING HOME.
ONE LONG , BLACK HAIR IN WRONG PLACE MAY COST YOU A LOT !!

I found the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat a terrific way to see many of the temples and palaces in Bkk. Get the Sky Train to the end of the Silom Line. Saphan Taskin station is beside the river and you get the Tourist Boat from there. Boats go every 30 minutes beginning at 9 and ending at 3. You get a very useful brochure which shows all the stops and the various nearby attractions. You can get on and off as you wish. You could shoot rolls of films to impress the folks at home.

The River Kwai trip is very good and cheap too! You can book 1, 2or3 day trips.
You can also say that you've been doing some Diving!!!!!

Calling all Locals!!!- Isn't there a Thai Cultural show in town? Jim Thompsons house... One of my favorites is the Temple of the Golden Buddha. The biggest hunk of Gold I've ever seen!
Any travel agency has all these tours and attractions, just walk in and start booking. I'll also sell you some of my photos of Wats', and attractions too!

You might try a licensed tour guide. I used one for 2 days touring BKK in March. Excellent English and knew all the history, places to go and things to do. Well worth the small fee requeted. Just decline to go to jewelry shops where they give you the hard selll to get their kickbacks.

Hey Bros,
Thank you everyone for all the replies. Thanks BK for pointing out the Classifieds. I'll keep the Classifieds in mind as the time draws near. I'll definitely post an ad when the time comes. I definitely want to make sure I get a personal Tour Guide.
Hehehe, I guess I don't have to do the tours everyday, after the suggestions I got. I guess I'll be able to sleep in so I can LT a BG.
