it's in the old part of bkk a stones throw from the grand palace/sanam luan & the river just demand kaosan rd or thanon khao sarn to any taxi/tuk tuk/moto & you'll discover a new world of it's own! expect a 90bt taxi ride from sukhumvit central! a must visit in my book - not just that street, but all those sights in the area
Banglampoo. The Mrs and i were there a couple of weeks ago in one of the tailor shops. While walking down the main street,two seperate arrests involving pissed up Farangba's were in progress and this was at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Although if you are going to see the sites of the film be aware that the Beach was filmed nowhere near Khaosan Road.
The nightlife around Khaosan Road is a lot better than it was years ago when I stayed there...(yes...I know)...I was there on Saturday night in Gullivers. A lot livlier than the Suk 5 GT....but nowadays I don't necessarily enjoy lively.
