Ok - I can already hear the more experienced brothers giggling at these questions...but here goes!
I will be staying in Sukhumvit and will naturally be spending time at the bars. My question is, do you get hassled? I mean, If I just want to sit down for a quiet beer or 10 without worrying about anything else, is it possible? Do they take no for an answer? I have heard all sorts of stories about ladies physically trying to drag you in to bars when walking along etc.. Maybe a recommendation on a nice quiet bar? Don't get me wrong I wanna mix with the dolls but ocassionally I just like to kick back and take it all in on my own if you know what Im sayin!
I guess I am just trying to get an idea on what to expect and know what or what not to do!

Not sure where you are staying in Sukhumvit.
But you won't get hassled in Living Room, Bush Bar, or the other street gars around there. The bars I mention are near Raumchit plaza, by Thermae Coffee shop.

I am staying in Manhattan hotel myself next week. The bars are just around the corner from the hotel.
Go to Sukhumvit road and turn right.
You won't get hassled in New Wave pool bar on Suk soi 7 either

I have stayed at Manhattan many times, as have some of the other bros. Never heard of guest problems provided you book double.
not sure how long I will be there, maybe 2 weeks or so

Hello, while not an expert, I have been to Patpong a couple of times. Yes, you do get the touts that approach you. Yes, as you walk by the bars (and impossible not to) while traveling though the Patpong markets, you do get both women and men trying to get you to come in to the bars. You will glimpse young TGs onstage with little or nothing on.... But... isnt this one of the reasons that you come to BKK????
