Hello everyone, I have the pleassure of a short stay (or a long transit) in BKK in July and was wondering if it was worth visiting some of the sights.
I land in at 11pm and take off the following day at 6pm.
1) Is there any hotel that would allow me a late check-out so I can catch up on sleep at some point
2) Where are some bars/MPs that may be open before say 2pm that I could visit?
It seems most of the fun spots in BKK are later on in the evenings!

Of course, you could be in a hotel near Nana by 12, in Nana by 12.15 and check out the scene, find a babe or go to Nana disco and find a babe and sleep in till lunchtime, then take her to lunch/brekky and possibly have another shag before departure. What better way to spend a transit.

If I only had those 18 hrs (which in reality is about 15 hrs with pre-flight/transit time), it would still leave enough time to do some damage. This is what I would do (barring no special girls you want to meet again).
Land at 11PM, you can be checked in and out on the street by midnight. I would then...
1) Head to either Nana or Cowboy and hit a go-go and pick out a girl (that suits you) as soon as you can. Head for a ST at the ST rooms near the area and have a session.
2) Head to Grace Hotel or Soi 13 (outside Thermae) and meet a girl willing to go for LT and have a session (or 2).
3) Wake up to a nice morning session (I'm guessing you will be done by noonish)
4) Head to Barons (Suk 24) or Darlings (Suk 12) about 1PM for another session.
5) Done about 3:00 - pack up all your stuff and head back to the airport.
6) Leave LOS with 3-4 bangs under your belt, wallet a little lighter and a huge smile on your face. Look around and ask yourself "I wonder what these other people did for their last 18 hrs"? - Smile again.
All this can happen with many factors falling in place at the right time and may not be for a lot of people and/or may not be enough for others. But then again, ChicagoGuy described me as "the horniest bastard he ever met", and this is what I would do in a limited amount of time. As for the late checkout and sleep, they can hold your bags for you while you run around, and sleep, thats what the plane ride is for....

I definitely think it's worth going into Bangkok for that amount of time. Check into a hotel on/off Sukhumvit in the Nana area and you will get a great value in price of hotels I would think compared to staying near the airport.
Action can be found at anytime. If for some reason you are late and arrive too late to hit some of the main venues that close at 2am, there are spots in the city you can go to after 2am. One example is Grace Coffee Shop. I didn't see too many hotties like some of the other places but you never know. It's worth it to go just for the entertainment.
I believe Eden Club opens at 12pm now, but no later than 1pm. That's the best way to finish off a trip to Bangkok or any other place. The service is unbelieveable. I don't like to go too early in a trip, because after going there, most of the freelancer or gogo scene service seems subpar.
If the hotel doesn't allow late checkout for that time, which I kind of doubt would happen unless they are very popular, you might want to pay for the extra time. It would be worth it for the entertainment.
What else are you going to do that's better in between this long _ss layover? By going into Bangkok it will be short _ss layover.

Might want to read FR 1st 2 hrs in Thailand. Its almost imposable to catch up on sleep even after 25 hrs of jet lag. Landing at 11 gives you at least a 1 hr window to find you a LT for the night and after a shag get a few winks till noon rid yourself of her and get another shag before you catch your 6 PM flight. However I suggest you accidently miss your flight and stay in thailand where else would you rather be???

probaby best way would be to take a taxi to NANA hotel, action there until 2am at least. and p4ps wandering around everywhere, room at Nana only $Aus 40 per night, and near the freeway, figure on 30 mins from the Airport [ give taxi 70 baht to pay 2 toll fees. ]

I like all the above ideas.. 
I know it isn't much (read: enough) time in Bangkok, but unfortunately (or rather fortunately) i didn't expect to be transitting through BKK, so may as well make the most of it.
Now time to keep reading the vast forum for more ideas!!!
