I´ve found some "karaoke" web sites (Feature 487, Kan Pai, Nirandra, etc.) but these places seems to be more than karaokes. Any field report? Are these places "farang" friendly or only for locals? What about prices?

More a thai than a western form of entertainment, it is required by the majority of Karaoke owners, that the girls working their make themselves available for other services also... if requested by the customer .... not sure how this relates to non thais, but allowing TIT and the baht rules, I should think you can get more than sining lessons in most places, Counter in Ratchada, just near Hollywood nightclub, is one place where all goes, and the girls are very pretty, a head job whilst your singng is an apparent favoutite !

You have the family karaokes where nothing happens and generally there are no hostesses. And you have the men karaokes  .
The men karaokes are places to have fun and get drunk with business partners/friends, and eventually get laid. The girls are there to hold you microphone, entertain the customers and make you drink as much as possible. And if you want more you can get more. I would say it is not really the point, for this you go to MPs.
You go to the Karaoke first to have fun, the hanky panky is just part of the package.
