Hey guys,
I was wondering if it is really safe in Thailand and especially bangkok. My dad wrote this to me

dear traveling man,
the best way to put it is: thailand is one of the safest countries to travel in the world. i have been all over and tokyo seems more dangerous to me. i even have to wear my backpack on the front in fear of theft.
most girls from the bars have no reason to plant drugs on you. i have seen some girls on extasy, but from what i understand, they take it before they leave the club. i was in thailand a week ago. and our taxi was stopped at a police roadblock on the way to dance fever disco. the police checked the girls bags, and our pockets. asked where i was from. and smiled when i said USA. let us get back in our taxi and on our way. simple routine. his eyes also got bigger when he saw my 1000B bills. so i figure if anything went wrong, i could say i just met them and sharing the cab to the disco. or he seemed pretty easy to pay off. just don't make a ruckus, and act surprised, but smile thinking it is humorous.
i see no reason for a thai girl to plant drugs on you. i don't even understand why they would even part from it if they are using it. you can tell which girls are on extasy because they are always constantly moving or want to dance, and can't sleep.
just don't carry anything for them.
