does anyone know what the going rate is for rates for having a women guide (for sightseeing, dining, etc.,) plus the "extras" for 24 hours? any suggestions (escort agencies, places)? would be much appreciated.

I've been reading this forum for the past two weeks preparing for my trip to LOS, so I've done a bunch of research, but everywhere I looked, it only talks about ST or LT, and yeah, the escort agencies have their "escort" rate, but in my opinion, it was way too much. If you go for a LT girl ($$$ rates elsewhere!!) you'll often find she will happily stick around with you 24/7. So you effectively get the tour guide/dinner companion & someone to shag as an all in one deal.
Bear in mind though that this will add to the costs. You'll pay the LT fee plus will spend a few hundred more on meals etc.., plus she'll have all day to persuade you to buy her a present or two.
I generally find the freelancers are better for this sort of arrangement but have also done it with the bar girls. Just tell them what you are looking for up front and pick someone suitable.

In addition to gray's post, if your girl works in a go go bar or beer bar, you will probably have to pay for her daily barfine as well, which is a few hundred baht more each day. If the girl works in a MP or something similar, the daily fee will be more.
