I have enjoyed leafing through this forum - it is of tremendeous help to a newbie - therefore first of all thanks folks - for all the info!
Now to my questions:
I am living in Germany, coming to Bangkok for a 3 days business trip last week of November. Never been to Thailand before. My business "friends" will take care of me in terms of hotel, food etc. - probably no sex though... or is it common to take business friends out to a MP?
I am a little confused about all the post-APEC stuff on the Web. is it really all different now - or are the threads in this forum still true? I have to admit that I am worried - last thing I want is being raided by the police when I am getting a massage...
I might be able to steal away for an afternoon or evening. I'd like to have a georgeous sexual encounter - with one or two really beautiful girls and rather clean rooms, on an upscale level. Money is not that important, since I make enough on this trip.
Another thing I would go for is a soapy massage, with a girl that knows massage as well, not only sex. Any special recommendation for this?

If money is no problem, for a massage go to a proper massage place, and for sex go.... well, too many places.
Trying to get 2 in 1 is like when you get one of those knife/pen combos: mediocre pen and mediocre knife.
Apec? you shouldn't worry. Your friends taking you out for sex? It depends. I guess you will find how friendly they are. Unless they are stuck-up conservative westerners, if they are real friends they would be taking you out. If not ask them. Going to p4p in LOS is like going to have a drink with friends. Yes, as casual as that.

Among Thais it might happen. You don't say who your business friends are, so maybe, maybe not.

The heat is off, for the most part, save for the girls being covered up at NEP, and some of Chuwit's MPs running a bit wobbly. None of that had squat to do with APEC really.
Read any F/R's from the last two weeks to get an accurate picture of the situtation on the ground post-APEC.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, a buzzer will sound and you'll have a good two minutes to put a towel on your ass. Really, in our corrupt little town, the cops are more likely to call ahead and announce their "surprise raid".
Smegma's pen-knife analogy is great one. While a body massage girl might be able to give you a passable massage, in the tub it's only a massage because your skin and muscles move. One muscle particularly.

everything depends very much on how you are familiar with asia at all. If this is your first and only 3 days visit to asia I would possibly recommend to only go to very upscale MPs in the day and bars in the evening, because they are not too far from what your german imagination might expect in terms of cleanliness, space etc. and looks in general.
Other places like the gogo bars of nana or soi cowboy or whatever place you have read about here needs to get used to it and can be slightly cultural shocking on the first sight for a complete asia newbie. But this also depends on how adventuresome you are and how open for a COMPLETE new experience, not only in the horizontal business…

Just about everything is back to normal, except for the girls maybe wearing a few more bikinis. If your friends decide to take care of you' you should be in good hands, if not, try a few of the upscale MP's or if you want to se a GoGo bar, try Angel Witch in NEP for their 10PM show - That should get the blood flowing.

Welcome and enjoy! Understand your situation well. It sounds very similar to mine in that I come in for a few days and have limited time.
My suggestion echos others already posted. If you have an afternoon and/or evening open you should.
first- Got to Poseidon and head up the stairs to model lounge. You can read more about it on threads in the massage section. Just jump in a cab and have them take you there. You're hotel door man can help ensure that the driver takes you to the right place. Soapy's are available at Poseidon of course and at all MP's.
second- If you still have more time...and desire.... after that, i.e., have the evening open.... best bet for high end these days is club 87 (in the Conrad) or perhaps Spasso (in the Hyatt).
If you have a chance to wander around and want to get a taste of the flavor of the infamous go-go scene....head over to Nana Plaza and just pop around from gogo to gogo. You can read opinions on them and chose the one you like.
Don't worry about the APEC deal.....all is well and fine.
