I was just browsing around at the local markets in Hawaii looking for some orchids. What I observed was that they have a 'local' and 'non-local' pricing. Some of the merchants even admitted the price they're giving me is a local price. That's cuz I looked part Hawaiian. As from my friends, they didn't get the deals.
So I guess I should've feel cheated by Thais when they give me falang prices when my own country men does the same sh_t to me.

This also exists in the local P4P in California. If you are Asian, it's expected that you will be charged less. If you are farang, you can push for a lower price and usually get it.

Dual pricing goes on every where, used a fruit stall right outside the office near the Tower of London. There was one price posted for the tourists and an under the counter discount for locals.
