Nothing is a sure thing interms of good or bad. You could play a lot or nothing at all and still get a "starfish". We've all had our share of "starfish's" at one time or another.
The rules I go by are:
1. Attitude. If he attitude stinks in the club or when you meet her, there is a high probabiliy that it will stink after you take her out.
2. Looks. If her attitude is good, then I have to be attracted to her physically. If not, then why bother!! ha ha ha ha!!
3. Price. If she passes the above two rules then I'm willing to open up the wallet. It does not mean I'll pay double the normal rate, but if she quotes me a reasonable going rate, I won't haggle and pay it. Likewisie if the price is too high, then I just say "no thanks" and look for another one. There are plenty of fish in the sea!! ha ha ha ha!!
** One way to minimize the chances of the star fish is to visit and MP. This way it only cost you 1 1/2 to 2 hours of your time. If she's cool there, then you can take her out and she should be the same outside if not better. **

I never haggled the prices except the gril I took out in at one gogo in patpong. (her car was Mercedez C200.damn-never take out this girl if you don't waste your money. forgot her name- about 173 cm tall with very slim body, long straigt hair)
I just paid normal going rate to them and they seemed to be happy with it

Yeah. I also don't haggle for the fact that it starts the time with her on a bad note. If the price is too high, then I smile and say thanks, but no thanks. Of course, if she wants to renegotiate on the price and quote me a different price then I'm open to that. Usually though, I take out the models from the MP's and their prices usually range from free to around 4K not including tip for 24 hours.
Unfortunately, your description of the tg is too general!! And...you forgot to mention her hair is black and her eyes are brown!! ha ha ha ha!!

Second attitude, even if you are in a MP, watching them in the FB I can normally judge a good un, I never pick the ones that waves at me, are to busy talking or more interested in the TV, I look for the one who looks but is to bashful to wave, blushes a little and looks away when you look at them.
They are so surprised when you choose them, and so appreciative, may be a little green but who cares…

I never discuses “MONEY”, if the lady starts to talk money, then she is a “PRO” and will ask for too much for very little, I have always given them 500ST/1000LT and nearly all are very appreciative, remember these girls earn a hell of a lot more than most Thais so if you over pay them over the odd's, you fuk things up for everybody, also you are going to fuk the Thai economy as girls desert the factories & paddy fields, and go P4P.

I never commit to ST/LT, if they ask I reply see how it goes, if they have prior arrangements they will tell you so, that reminds me of the time I meet a girl in a well known coffee shop, on the way back to the hotel she said that she had to meet someone at 3am so it would be ST only.
She was magic, I must have been too as she stayed with me all night and all day, she was like glue, by the next evening I realised I needed to ditch her before it got to serious, I was due to move onto Pattaya the next day so I told her so, me come with you she said, had to think hard and fast for a excuse, me stay with friends, sorry not possible I said, fortunately we were in the middle of Sukhumvit Rd at the time and she had all her stuff with her so there was no need for her to come back to the hotel, so we parted there and then.

If a girl's attitude to you in the bar is just a secondary consideration, then it's inevitable that you're going to end up with more than your fair share of starfish, quick-leavers, &c. If she can't be bothered cultivating you in the bar (ie, before you've even struck a deal), then how likely is it that she's going start bothering in the bedroom (after you're already committed to paying her) ?
If her attitude in the bar is indifferent, she's telling you that you just don't matter to her as a customer. If you don't take her, someone else will, so what the hell.
Obviously, this problem is most common with stunning-looking girls who appeal to everyone. If looks are very important to you, practical steps you can take to improve your chances of getting a good 'un include:
1) Avoiding glamour venues, stuffed with lookers, where a 'fire & forget' attitude to customers has become entrenched in the bar culture. Gorgeous girls in 'secondary' bars are usually a better bet, since most of their colleagues just can't afford to take this attitude.
2) Searching for a type of 'look' that you personally find very attractive but wouldn't appeal to everyone (we all have individual quirks of taste - for example, I have a thing for goofy-looking girls). A girl like this is not likely to be in constant demand, and therefore joins the 'must try harder' classes. You will matter more to her as a customer, and she will therefore be more inclined to 'take good care' in an effort to hang onto you.
All that aside, it wouldn't hurt you to experiment more with girls you get on well with and find screwable enough, even if they might not be your first choice based on looks alone. A comparison of subsequent performance may well lead you to downgrade looks as your primary selection criterion. You can be sure that a great many guys have travelled this same route.

right again for me!
in the gogo's you have all the time of the world to assess the girls attitude. just relax and play around with them and you will pretty soon realise who is game and fun and who is a boring starfish!
same counts for discos like cm2, angels and others. just talk with them as you would do with any other western girl and you will see how they respond.
by all means never mention any money or whether she would want to go st or lt as this would ruin the fun and gfe instantly and the girls will treat you like a business transaction. after all you asked them their price so it will be a deal for them.
sure that is a bit twisted as without asking about how much money they would want it will be most likely a business transaction too, but this way they can keep up face to themselves and others. at least there is a slight chance for her that you might be interested in her personally too -> she will be much eager to treat you better and will be more into it!
