If you bring a girl to a serviced apartment where you are living and you have all of your expensive things like laptop computer, do you have to worry about these girls stealing this stuff? 2 question- I know I should aks this on the living here board but I cant post a new topic there. I want to know, does anyone live or have lived in a seviced apartment? I am looking at some pretty great ones and am wondering if it is possible to negotiate the monthly rent down. Should you ever accept the offering price?

Answer to Question # 1. Yes, #2 Yes all prices can be discounted. It all depends on how long and when you are staying. Many apartments have in room safe. I have also used a lock on my luggage to store my laptop. If your staying a long time, I would stay at the http://www.majesticsuites.com hotel for a week or so and look for the best deal.

Question 1 - yes, if you don't know the girl at all. Since I know where mine lives, I'm not worried. Question 2 - BigD's answered.

I am going to stay for 6 months. I am looking at a place in the neighborhood you showed where Majestic suites is. I have a place in mind but they quoted me 875 per month. How much do you think it is possible to knock it down? Any tricks or negotiating tips?

In my years living here... I have never had a girl (not sure about ladyboys though), steal anything from my apartment. I have 5 computers in my room, all of them still here. Q2: Everything is negotiable!

875 what? Does that include service charge (some charge 10%), utilities, tax, breakfast, credit card surcharges, etc. It is best to get a quote in Thai baht, since that is what they will charge you anyway. There is no way to judge the price without knowing the property you are talking about. Also, some rooms are better than others, so it is best to see the exact room you are getting before making a long term commitment. If you are staying 6 months, you might be able to get a discount off the quoted monthly price.

It is a studio at the Royal President. A studio at Grand President is 650. I would love to negotiate that down or get a suite for the same price. Is trying for a 25% discount to ambitious?

Hey all- I may be staying at the Royal Orchid Sheraton during my trip. Is this hotel nice? Good area, etc? Are they strict on bringing back TGs to rooms? Also, how do BKK girls respond to (American) DJs that travel to play in BKK clubs? Anyone know? Thanks. TravelDJ
