I suppose there hangs a cloud over the mongering farangs. This cloud is clouded by biases and judgements that have caused disillusionment within the mongering farangs rank. Some farangs feel guilty about their lifestyle as if they cannot "overcome" their mongering ways. This so happens to be a result of popular majority pressures back in their homeland that teaches against such activity. I want to be able to throw out this stigma that has hung over our heads for so long. I would like to maybe get everyone to open up and describe their innermost thoughts on how they became a monger. What conditioned your hearts to seek out the "forbidden"? Some may take this post as an exploit of this lifestyle. But I hope there is a few that would understand this post and be able to respond accordingly. I think this can offer therapy for some of us who may have not overcome the "enemy" within.
Here is my anaylsis of why we do the things we do.
#1) Some of us are born in abusive homes where we are called names and perhaps even beaten, undergoing years of physical and mental abuse. I myself unfortunately experienced this life until the court ordered me away from that life at the age of 14. But as a child experiencing this constant negativity plays a part in the development of social communication. And people who go through this usually lack confidence in themselves. So the ability to relate to others of the opposite sex is affected. So some of us perhaps can feel we are on the same playing level as a third world girl who was impoverished and perhaps went through a similiar lifestyle. For those who have not experienced this in your life, you will find this viewpoint totally absurd.
#2) The feel sorry affect. There are many well to do farangs that have everything they need monetarily and yet have never been able to capture in on finding that true love. Somehow they get introduced to LOS or other countries notorious for P4P and they begin to develop a rescue motive. They want to rescue the poor girl and give her a new life. This is almost comaparable to a father-daughter relationship. Usually this type of farang will go to the ends of the Earth to rescue his one and only true love. And unfortunately many times walks away with a broken heart. But they never give up and usually will get into 3-4 relationships until they either get lucky or give up totally. And for those who have given up totally on any prospects of love usuaslly get old and bitter quickly and possibly suicidal.
Please note: Situation #1 and #2 are closely related in the fact that both type of farangs want to have a happy ending movie relationship.
#3) The excitement factor. there are many farangs who like the thrill of meeting new girls and one night stands. They are usually very discreet and hate to get caught. Perhaps this is the type of farang that created the "walk of shame" theory. They do not like to be seen in public if there is a chance they could be exposed. They are strictly in it for the sex. Although there are always exceptions to every rule.
#4) The try something new farang. The grass is always greener on the other side theory. Many farangs have been in sour relationships with their native counterparts and want to try something new. Some farangs go for other cultures. Others go for other sexual preferences. Surprisingly enough, there are many past married men now living in homosexual relationships because of the above mentioned theory. These type of farangs are also looking for love but it is not as important to them as it would be for the first two types.
#5) The rebel Farang. Some farangs have been brought up in a rigid family that taught against the very same things they are now practicing. This is the rebel theory. They are sick and tired of organized religion and all of its hypocricy that they have decided to do whatever feels good and hell with the rest. They don't care about love and they are not really in it for the sex as much as the satisfaction of doing something "wrong" without having to abide within their past social structures.
I have touched on the main types of farangs and would love to hear about any other theories and perhaps even about yourself.

I come to Thailand to get laid without the hassle of the girl friend calling, wanting me to leave my wife and family. I have a great marriage but my wife lost interest in sex. She's more then OK with me coming to Thailand 3 to 5 times a year to blow off steam. Back home I'm almost the perfect husband/dad.
As far as my wife is concerned as long as what I find in Thailand stays in Thailand, she cool with it. In other words, I'm not allowed to bring back a housekeeper/maid. ")

Sounds like you have an awesome wife. Have you guys ever considered trying to find root cause of her lack of sexual interest? But an open marriage like the one you describe usually is the most healthiest although the most controversial as well.

It can be made that psychological as TC73 does, but mostly it is very simple: The TGFE in my experience knocked out any other female experiance I had had, when encountering it first time.
The fact that they are also relatively experienced and broadminded in sexual practices adds to the spicing - that's all.
Don't analyze it too much.
