When I leave for home after a holiday in LOS I usually give any small change to the ladies who have the job of cleaning the toilets at BKK airport. That could be about 100 - 200 baht. They do a pretty thankless job and react as if all their Christmasses have come at once.
I was thinking of posting to ask how common this practice is amongst us. It might be that these ladies do very well with tips if it is a common practice, but if they do then good luck to them. In my view they have a sh*tty job so they deserve what extras they can get.
Then I wondered if anybody has any experience of getting anything extra off these ladies in the toilets before going home? I have noticed they seem to like to linger and take a good look while you relieve yourself - but maybe they are just hanging around waiting for small change?
What experiences (if any) do other members have in this area?
