Many often enjoy a massage but a word of caution must be stated. Be selective as all those incredible shapes and flowing movements that constitute the manipulative side of Thai massage can be potentially damaging to both giver and receiver.
To give a massage of this kind, at even a very modest level, requires great skill, strength and poise which can only be acquired with correct training.
Even a fit young person can be hurt when subjected to stretches and twists that are incorrectly applied or simply overdone.
In addition, there are the usual contra-indications to the use of Thai massage which are essentially those that would apply to any form of massotherapy.
When not to use Thai bodywork.
Do not have a massage if you have a serious heart condition, high blood pressure or cancer.
Thai massage is unsutiable for those who have or suffer from brittle bones (osteoporosis).
Never be massaged if you have joint problems or artifical joints, such as hip and knee replacement.
Those suffering from skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis or shingles must be carefull on the affected areas.
Varicose veins should not be massaged deeply.
Take it easy if it is your first, second or third time and let the therapist know how you feel
Always err on the side of caution.
But massages including Thai massage are good for you and assist in the care of the self.

Do you go to HS 2 ?? My favourite and a daily ritual while in BKK. Similar I go to T Barber/Massage on Soi 4 for Foot reflexology.. even though both places offer the other style of massage... I like these specialities..
What # lady you go to.. I just changed to one who is an absolute SCREAM (funny) and VERY good at her job

If your going to Pattaya take a baht bus or moto bike to Cozy Beach, I hire a moped when I'm in town.
You can have realy good massages right on the beach, theres nothing like a 30+ woman giving you a great massage, the crashing of the surf, a cool beer to hand and the most amazing eye candy walking past!!!
If your going to have a massage every day try and keep to the same lady, she will know your stiff joints and will gradually work on them to ease them out.

Okay. Maybe I went to the wrong massage place, but when I got a traditional massage there was no hanky panky. Nor.. after lookin' at them did I want any hanky panky.
But, I did have to give in and ask them to tone it down. Too hard for me / painfull for me. ha ha !!

It all depends on the person administering the massage. I was in Pattaya for two weeks in May'04 and had 3 Thai massages while staying at the Montien. It was 3 different experiences. The first one was the best. The girl was young, pretty and strong. She cracked every bone in my body and after she was done with me, I felt like a new man. The 2nd girl just wanted to suck my C*ck - "special massage" and after saying no to this she was very complacent in her massage. Needless to say waste of 1000b. The 3rd girl was nice, but wanted to play 20 questions. Where do come from? What do you do? How is this? How is that? Shut the F*ck up and crack my spine...If you find someone who has the skills to make you feel like a new man, stick with her because to quote the great Forrest Gump...you don't know what your going to get...
