Brothers,
I am sure there's already a thread buried somewhere in the bowels of the forum on this topic, but please forgive me for starting my own.
So I've been to LOS twice now - just got back a week ago from the second visit in 3 months, and I'll admit that after returning from the first trip I was borderline suicidal. This time it's a little better but not much. I find myself compulsively checking fares on yahoo, reading every topic on this forum - twice - and obsessing over possible reasons why my TGF is now taking more than a day to respond to my emails. I have the cutest little filipina GF you can imagine who is yahoo messaging me about a hundred times every day but all I can think of is returning to LOS.
Is there something one can do to make it stop? I have visited the local AMP several times in an attempt to f_ck my pain away but it only seems to get worse. What do the brothers suggest as an antidote for this horrible condition I find myself in?

I can understand Louisiana, but not SoCal.
If you do indeed live in SoCal, just cruise a Ranch 99 in either Alhambra, Montery Park, or even Chino Hills.
There are tons of fine lookin', "available" asian females to be found. It's summer time. Short skirts, tight tops, high heels!! 
This will at least tide you over before your next trip to BKK.
And yes, I understand that nothing can replace the Thai culture, but some fine lookin' honey's help!! ha ha ha!!

Are you SoCal local? If so you probably realize the asian hotties in this locality tend to stick with their own - farangs need not apply - it would only intensify the pain for me to go hang out in Monterey Park, Alhambra, or Walnut.
I have been ordering plenty of take-out from Thai Beer and am considering heading over to Chan Dara or Natalee for dinner tonite, but again, these things only make me yearn even more for the real thing.
I am definitely going in October for my TGF's birthday.... maybe I can slip in a quick trip between now and then? Sh_t, I might as well just sell the house, move over there, and be done with it!

My heart's with you, my brother. Well, it's been three months now and I'm still like that. My TGF doesn't respond to my SMS simply because she has poor command of the English language and my phone doesn't allow me to type Thai characters (not that I'm good at it anyway). To call her daily would mean my being thin having to go without food to pay my phone bills.
Going back to LOS is one way of doing it, but it's like being in Dreamland...and the moment you step out of the plane upon arrival in the LOR (Land of Reality), it'll hit you even worse.
That's the reality one faces and will continue to face when it comes to LOS.
Just make lots of money, increase the frequency of visits to LOS, or find a job that will locate you within an hour or two away from LOS, depending on which part of the LOS you wish to be in.
I'm in Malaysia now. It may not be LOS, but it's a lot nearer and I'm a much happier person now.

Expanding on TBs point, living anywhere in south-east asia will minimise any post LOS depression.
Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, HK, Singapore...because theres pussy on tap whenever you want it.
Plus I think its good to feel a little pang of separation when you leave LOS because it means you definitely will want to come back.
There's nothing sadder than some of the twats who live in Thailand and lose all sense of perspective because they do these things to the point where it goes beyond recreation and becomes part of their daily grind. Before they know it, they are boasting about shagging hookers and getting pissed everyday.
Mind you, it would be cool if they were loaded enough to afford this lifestyle 24/7 but not many of them are. All these fvcking english teachers and poorly paid IT lads, heard a couple of them whinging about thailand and snapping at a ladyboy outside nana carpark one day. Was great when the ladyboy kicked him in the bum and ran away. He was too drunk to give chase.

I must admit that I had the post LOS blues after my first trip there in Feb. I found on my return that I was constantly comparing prices at the 7-11 and converting back to thai baht.
I would also constantly be looking at the time (LOS 3 hours behind) and think about what I would be doing if there..... Really difficult to get back into work and avoiding the urge to say bugger it, jump on a plane and see how long I could go before running out of money.
As one of the brothers hinted at, look forward and work out how you are going to plan your next trip on basically what you know you missed - and I missed a lot!!! I think that was the "turning" point for me.
Will be back in LOS next month and looking forward to compare post LOS blues a second time around
