please help if I want to walk from nana hotel to ratchdapisek road how far it is? and which way would I go coming out of nana hotel onto sukhumvit road? I did look at the map of of both street and try to connected the two together but I am still confusing. please help. thank you. I was in los on april 2004 and plan to go back in Dec. I was there for two night at sommerset hotel. for me I would call this place a heaven on earth. this site have a lot of info. thank everyone for the info.

If you go east on Sukhumvit, the next BTS stop after Nana is Asoke (or Asok). If you turn left on Asoke (going north) it becomes Ratchdapisek. It's a long way to most of the Ratchdapisek MP's so you might want to take a cab (even though traffic is terrible on that road) if that is where you are going.
The new subway runs up and down Ratchdapisek with a stop a Asoke. It is supposed to be open to the public within a few months.

farfromhome, Soi Cowboy is between Asoke Rd and Sukhumvit Soi 23. From SC, if you'd walk towards Ratchadapisek Rd, it will be a good 1-2 miles. It certainly won't be 5-10 minutes. If you love the walk, go ahead.

Is Asoke still one way between Sukhumvit and New Pet.?
When at the corner of Asoke and Suk in the early evening I often thought it would be faster just to walk to New Pet. than take a cab. (Maybe take a cab from there down Ratchadapisek.)

I think there is one lane open on Asoke going north, until you get down the road futher where it widens. Asoke basically becomes Ratchadapisek after a few kilometers. Most cab drivers starting at Nana and going to Ratchadapisek would probably bypass that part of Asoke.

Asoke is now a two way road - have been for a while, so not too much problem to take a cab to where you need to go!

Be careful around Sukhumvit & 17th in the early morning hours. When I was in Bangkok last September, there was a group of katoeys that hung out in that area. They are very agressive and will physically molest you if you pass by them to slowly. They also won't take "No!" for an answer...
