Ok this came up in another thread. Since the board covers such a wide array of info, could I get some info on bars/grocery stores/malls or wherever to pick up a non-P4P kinda girl? I know myself id love to trade in the GF back home for a nice new import model, and I don’t know if the P4P girls be in it for the long run.....

Ok, then any shopping centre, any place where girls go shopping Siam square, MBK etc. The skytrain, any street or restaurant in Bkk and as for bars, well there is already enough on this in other areas for you to research. But if you really want a true good girl, do not cheat and go to any of the bars known to even harbour a small percentage of after hours p4p gals or off duty massage girls. Hope you speak Thai.

NM, is right on the money with this. To pull a non P4P girl, I hope you speak excellent polite Thai. Dress well. Best not to wear shorts and tee shirt.
I'm assuming this is your first or second trip. IMHO don't waste your valuable vacation time spinning your wheels looking for the " almost impossible dream".
You need a few trips under your belt to pull this off. They are available and I've met a few.

Agreed. NM and Big D are right. If you are an occasional visitor, don't waste your time.
In four years of regular visits, I only made two chance successes. These were in department stores ( Central and Robinsons) I engaged a likely assistant in conversation by asking for their help in sizing of a blouse for my sister back home. Conversation led to a date when I asked for help in "getting to know BKK".

In my opinion, I think you are right. For those really looking for a relationship instead of someone who will consider you a customer for an undetermined length of time (maybe forever), I think a proper TG is the way to go. And there are lots of them. If you hang out in p4p areas, it might not seem so, but "proper TGs" who do not sell their body by accepting money for sex or companionship are the overwhelming majority of TGs in Bangkok.
However, just like back in Canada, you will need take the time to find one and develop some kind of relationship. You're likely not going to sleep with a good-TG on the first date (if you do, she is likely not a good TG). Some (not all) TGs are open to relationships with falang, and I work with many people who have TGs for wives and TGs, none of them ever p4p (that I know of), so it is not impossible. I've met some TGs that are possible FutureCGGirlfriend's but I have neither the time nor desire to "date" a Thai girl.
But the guys are right, if you do not speak Thai and are looking to get laid, maybe best to stick with p4p.
That said, on the last trip, there were packs of TGs that came to the Coliseum at Suk/Soi 38. Some might be p4p but most are probably not.

CDNguy, hey, dont let any of this put you off trying, no harm in trying and if you dont suceed, just go p4p hunting. The good thing about trying it on with a normal, or seen to be normal girl, is that if you meet her for dinner and a movie etc, then a drink maybe, if she is not going to put out her panties for you, you will know how fast or slow you have to play her. You can then usually go off to Nana or any nightclub and find a goer for the remainder of the night. This way, you get to have your cake and eat it as well.
A friend of mine here has met many 'normal' girls since his arrival in just a few weeks, but also some of his normal girls are not normal girls, he does not think so, I know so. But he has had dinner with students etc, but has not yet got to home base with one of his 'good' normal girls. Some of the other normal girls that I know are not normal girls, but he is sure are 'good' he has bedded though.
So, depending on how well you know this place, the girls and the little idiosyncrasies of it all, then you may never know if you have a truely good girl or not, until it is to late.

Thanks for the input. I do understand putting time into it, but damn some guys back home with their thai wives, there so nice and good to their man, no offence not a lot of north american women can compare, from what I have seen (don’t jump on me please  ..... that’s what ive seen anyhow. As far as having my cake and eating it to.... well that’s the plan, and what a good plan it is! And for meeting some nice ones, im already talking to a few on msn..... yea im a slut and yea I cant wait for p4p, but if one of these nice girls are just that very nice... well that be cool, if not ill still have fun...win win!

Just a side note... it is probably true that 90% of TGs in Thailand ARE NOT p4p, and it is probably try that 90% of TGs in the lower Sukhumvit area late at night ARE p4p.
