After reading a few thousand posts in the last few months and contributing a little bit of info on the Singapore scene, I am all set to make my first trip to BKK in August. Yeah yeah, Singapore is a couple of hrs away and having lived in Singapore for so long, I still haven't been to BKK, shame on me… whatever.
Brothers, I bet all of you must have gone through the phase I am going through now. I can't seem to work anymore - my mind keeps wandering on what are the things I would be doing in BKK and so on and on…
Thanks to this website and BK's and all the other brothers' efforts, we newbies are sitting on a wealth of information.
I've sorted out most of the details of the trip. I will keep bothering you with some questions that keep popping in my head from time to time - please don't get too irritated with them.
I will be in BKK for 5 days 4 nights and I've kind of made an itinerary. I know I am trying to cram a lot of things in the shortest possible time (its called 'being KIASU' in Singapore). I want to visit massage parlors (Poseidon), try oil massage at Baron's, fulfil my fantasies at Eden, barfine some girls from Go Go bars, pick up freelancer (s) from Beergarden. Additionally, I want to see the Grand Palace, buy some fake watches and some souveniers for my friends and colleagues at work.
Day 1 :
Get familiarized with the place.
Start with a MP (Poseidon) in the afternoon.
Go go bar in the evening. Barfine a girl - ST/LT not sure.
Day 2 :
Baron's oil massage (book Saeng)
A bit of rest and shopping in the evening.
Barhopping. The rest same as day 1.
Day 3:
Wat Pho. Followed by Massage there.
Eden
Rest and shopping
Go go bar in the evening. Same as days 1 and 2.
Day 4 :
Grand Palace
MP in the afternoon/evening OR another session with Saeng
Pick a freelancer. ST.
I have to see the Nana 2 AM shuffle. Hopefully pick one to keep me awake till early morning.
Day 5
Leave BKK. Boo hoo.
Need your help to tell me if I am being too ambitious or just plain stupid.
I haven't had this much sex in such a short time - not even during my uni days. I hope to keep the blue pill handy just in case I need it. I've noted the pharmacy where I can buy it (does K S Pharmacy 229 Sukhumvit Rd., Soi 17 BKK still exist ?). Have never had the need to try one until now - let's see how it all goes.
Hotel : Booked double room with Manhattan, found out about the construction going on next to it. Read raving reports about Grottino and RTB's recommendation and have gone ahead and booked a room there. Got confirmation from Mr. Daniel as well. Is this a good decision ?
Condoms : I've bought a variety of condoms - flavored, thin, ribbed - you name them, I got them. I've looked at the Sukhumvit map at least a 1000 times till now. I can tell in my sleep where is NEP, EDEN, Baron's. I think I am going mad.
If any of you experienced brothers will be in town from 14th till 18th Aug and would like to show me the ropes, I would be eternally grateful. If there are other newbies around who would like to hunt in pairs, please do let me know. I am sure it would be fun too.

I don't know why you are asking us if this is too ambitious. You have planned for P4P twice each day for 4 straight days. Only you know if you are capable of that, or would find that enjoyable.
Other than that, your plan seems reasonable.

I agree with Ed The Lad, waaay too much plannin' for me but we're all different I s'pose. At least you'll have a few FRs to post, have you already got the key areas and the general structure of those prepared too?

My plan usually involves getting the bus upon arrival into BKK, find a hotel and then suck it and see...
As others have said dont bother with plans, who knows WHAT will happen...

You'll find that you can do the Grand Palace, and Wat Pho at the same time, they are right next to each other.
Catch the water taxi at the end of the BTS skytrain, and you can visit Wat Aruun, The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and maybe Chinatown in one morning/afternoon. I liked the Manhatton for my 1st 2 vacations. The breakfast buffet was a big plus in the morning. I am staying at the grottino this time because of the rave reviews, and it's a few blocks closer to SC.
You have not planned that much really. You should by all means do the MP things on the first day as your future TGF won't like you going to them........lolol.
You are going to have a fantastic time

I very much understand that all these plans could go for a toss if I met a wonderful girl on the very first day.
Hey brother Brocher, I haven't got the general structure of the FRs yet, but I guess that's one area I still need to work on. lol. FRs ? Well, I hope to contribute to this forum as much as I can learn from my experience as a first timer in BKK.
Brother koolbreez, I have noted your suggestion of visiting the MPs the first day. And thanks for the tips on visiting the Grand Palace, Wat Arun etc. How do you find the Grottino compared to Manhattan ?
I just can't wait to get to BKK.

This plan of yours is so close to mine! I spent pretty much the same amount of days/nights in BKK a couple of months ago. Decision then to go was made in haste thus no, or little, time to research. Alas arriving BKK as the true newbie of all times. Arriving BKK in August though I come with an itinerary. Accolades to the ones who contribute to these forums! Last time I stayed close to Nana not being aware of the fact, wandered streets aimlessly founding bars I really would like to revisit, never to find them again! Now, thanks to the Brotherhood or this site, I have a map. In August I will be able to find my way to that pool bar....
Thailand and Bangkok has so much more to offer besides the bar scene. Good to see that you plan to visit some of these sites. And that you plan to do so first thing. In my humble opinion all plans and intentions get tossed out the window once you enter the twilight zone.
I liked your post. And hope that you will have a great stay in BKK. City of angels in the land of smiles.

You live in Singapore. I believe the new low cost airlines can get you here for next to nothing. Forget the plans other than to book additional flights... maybe once a week. Your new, soon to be Thai girlfriend will expect this as well as the new mobile and joint ATM account.
