I had a taxi driver take me there once and I cannot remember at hing about how to get there.

I feel like a total idiot. The one night I was there I paid 2000 for short time. Plus the girl said I went over the 2 hours and she wanted another 2000 baht, all I had left was 500 and I gave it to her and felt lucky that she accepted it.

What the hell is a good price here? They asked 4000 for long time. I am living near patpong so thats why I want to start going there, but I heard it is the biggest ripoff, is this true? I really need to learn how to negotiate.

Do you ever tip a girl if you take her long time?

Finally, what are some good show places in patpong?

I think most guys on this board avoid patpong right?

From Saladaeng, walk up (north) on Silom.

If you see Robinson, you took the wrong way and turn back.

BTW The right price is the price you can and be willing to spend.....

Beware of the taxi mafia. One bro got off Saladang and ask a taxi to take him to patpong. After a long trip around the block and 100 THB later he was return to approx. 200 feet of where he got off the skytrain.

Don't feel bad Neverbeen there are a bunch of service providers being TG's taxi drivers, tout with eagle eyes to find newbies to exploit. Just chauk it up to experience and don't get fooled again.

n,

everything above 2000 thb for a l/t is "pheng pheng" to me. the taxis which stand still near patpong will all try to rip you off. I always stop one that is running by and insist on the meter. I am not a regular at the pong and never will be.

peace

Dr. you always had a thing with directions.

From the BTS station of Saladaeng, there is no way you could get to Patpong by making a northerly advance. Silom lies mostly on an East-West orientation. The West side is bit further south than the east side. From the BTS station of Saladaeng, if you try to make progress going further north, you would be going east on Silom and further away from Patpong.

However if from Saladaen BTS station you go west (and slightly south) then you would come to Patpong.

NeverB2BKK, if you are in the Saladaeng BTS, try to walk in the direction the train would be going if continuing towards Chong Nonsi.

yes, it's true, negotiating will not help you much at all if the joint is ripping you off...

Yes, I tip them over and slip my sausage inside

there might be some, but most of us won't go there, stick with the "King's group" joints.

YES, and don't you think that there must be good reasons for that ??

can you read a map ??

if so, buy one, or surf this site to get the maps surrounding BTS stations

I have to agree with DL on this one, from the link I posted, you can clearly see that Chong nonsri is South while Sala Daang is North...

Yes, as you align the train go north (that's where the train is heading) just what I said.... or to make sure : going up Silom.

I am kind of good with directions... don't worry about that, Smegs!

How do you go up Silom? As far as I know, it is fairly flat. Actually, I do not remember any hills anywhere in BKK that you could go up.

By the way, from Saladaeng if you want to take a train that will take a norther route, you would be going in the opposite direction than towards Patpong. Going to Chong Nonsi will take you further south first on Silom and then on Naratiwat.

You can up by going up the stairs to the BTS, but I prefer to go down and that would be on the TG's in PatPong

Smegma, obviously you're not familiar with 3D worlds. If you're going to the north (the direction your facing) on an X axis you go up.
