Hi,
I am going to thailand (bangkok) 11 june
I was just wondering where I can get some nice "street" clothes (nike, adidas puma etc etc.)
I I very tall zo I am looking for large sizes...
i would like to buy the "real " thing so no fake's (don't mind paying more
I search the forum but didn't find any up to date info in regards to street ware
Also any place for large sneakers (size 13-14) ?

Normally you want to buy one size larger than you usually wear. The sizes in Thailand are a bit different (at least different than in USA).
I don' t recall if they have tall sizes, but they do have XXXL sizes (equivalent to XXL in the US). But selection is not as good. If you are very tall and thin, then you might have a problem.
There are a couple of stores specializing in large sizes at MBK, you can search the forum for exact location (which I recommend since MBK is huge).
Some department stores "may" have athletic shoes that size, but I doubt that most street vendors would, so bring your own.

I found that the deaf street venders on the lower number sois on sukumvit had larger sizes, well they have a card with sizes, you point to the size you want. I think I remember seeing XXXL on the card. Very simple people to deal with, and fair prices.

yeah, but he doesn't want copies, silly.
difficult to get such big sizes. yes, they have XXL, but that is just okay for me (5.9, 190 lbs). lots of genuine adidas/puma shops around. good one between sukhumvit soi 3 and 5.
big nike/adidas shop on sukhumvit, opposite emporium (BTS phrom pong station)
fantastic also the big sports shop on silom (sports total or something, it is a green/white sign) just underneath saladaeng bts.

MBK has a shop (I think) called XXL that specialises in Factory seconds/overruns etc in large sizes. It pretty good value but mainly designer brands (Polo, Nautica, Tommy etc) rather than sports brands. I don't believe they are fakes.

I didn't see any fake knit shirts in BKK. All the ones I saw on the streets and in stores were genuine articles. Designer knit shirts are not exactly works of fine craftsmanship, they just have a logo on them and are basically the same as generic knit shirts.
I regularly buy "designer" knit shirt for about $10 in the US at discount stores like Ross and Marshall’s that get overruns and last seasons merchandise. These are definitely not fakes, since they would confiscated by the police if they were.
Designer suits or other more sophisticated clothing may be a different matter, but I don’t think it is cost effective to sell counterfeit knit shirts in LOS.

I can recommend "No Problem", MBK, 3rd Floor, 3C-29. Telephone 662-217-9751. Not a large selection of XXL's and above (make sure you get XXL, not XL, as Mr Alan says), but do have some clever, unique T shirt designs, something you won't see back home.
