Living in Taiwan & I can't buy a "Windows for Dummies" in English. I hate to spend $$ on shipping from Amazon as I hope to be able to buy it in Bkk in Jan. 2003......
Anybody know if I can buy it and where ???
Also where can one find the Stephen Leather books ??
I tried Asia Books (2 stores on/around Sukhumvit) but no luck on my last trip.
Better yet, how about a/some Used Bookstores in Bkk
I could look around in for these.........Thanx

Also where can one find the Stephen Leather books ??
I was under the impression that only one of Steven's Leather's books focussed on the thai night-life scene. I think it was called "Private Dancer" and that one is freely available on the net. I think his other books are of a totally different genre.
I would imagine "windows for dummies" would be available all over the place in BKK.

I just read this is in the latest edition of Lonely Planet BKK and thought of this thread.

Along Th Khao San you'll find several book stores;
-Shaman Books, 71 Th Khao San, carries a good mixture of new and used guidebooks, maps, novels and books on spirituality in several languages.
-Banana Leaf Books & Cafe
-Aporia Books also offers an extensive selection of new and used books.
There's also at least 3 streetside vendors specialising in used paperback novels and guidebooks in the Khao San Road.

-Global Books, Soi 32, Th Sukhumvit
