Last trip to LOS, I bought some dvd's in a large shopping plaza that seemed to specialize in selling electronics (the setup inside was alot like MBK). I really want to go back there my next time out. Does anyone have a clue what the name of this place is called and what is the address?

Probably Panthip Plaza....Petchburi Road, Pratunam....don't know the number, I'm sure a web search will bring it up.
According to the papers the Pirate DVD's / software clampdown is dated for May 1st, and they are giving time for the shops to get rid of their stuff. I bourght DVD's at Panthip for 100B 10 days ago...and prices are falling even more so I'm told.
Could this finally be the end?...threatened many times....but never seen through, the feeling is this time will be different.

However, you may wish to drop by IT Mall at FORTUNE TOWER, Ratchadapisek Av. IMHO This is a place that can let you forget about Panthip Plaza.

Thanks guys for the info... When I was there in March, I selected which dvd's I wanted then I was told to come back in 30 minutes. They were then given to me. I guess this could be the way they are getting around the system, by not keeping the inventory at the store. But, if they are crackin' down on dvd piracy in May then I'll be SOL cause I'm not coming back for a long time (and it's killin' me).

It's always been like that not keeping the inventory at the stall....and there has always been one day crackdowns, however this time The PM has decreed that this is all out war on piracy, and I've never seen shops trying to offload stock in the interim period like they are now.
Half of what I ordered the other day was out of stock...seems they are really running it down. This didn't apply to IT Mall.....they seemed unconcerned when I was there same day....However IT Mall was mentioned in name by Thaksin along with Seri Centre, Seacon Square, Sukhumvit Road stalls, Panthip Plaza and one other that escapes me.
My regular at Seacon Square was cleaned out 5 weeks ag...he seemed to think this time it was for real.
Personally it'd be one of the biggest losses about Thailand for me.......I love stocking up on this shit....more than pussy!

Hmm I think you were at PANTHIP Plaza. At IT mall (Fortune Tower) almost all the shops just request 10 min to get your DVD done. DVD 9 at B/.200 each (case incl.)
