Ronnie R., then maybe you smoked a fake because the Fernando Perez German factory (Partagas) doesn't make Romeo & Julieta cigars. R&Js are made at the Briones Montoto factory. Now, you could have bought R&J at the shop on the right (facing the building) in the ground floor of the factory, but that doesn't mean they were made there.
I have visited the factory and it is an interesting sight.

Wow, suprised to see how many of the bro's are cigar aficianados! Haven't been to a RT yet, but perhaps a good venue to light up. BTW, never done this myself, but curious about the ladies' responses to stoges while out hunting. Do you find most of the BG's dislike 'em?

The girls certainly don't like them. One girl sat with me in the lounge at JW Marriott and tried so hard to act like it didn't bother her. She was one fine woman: peeled my fruit, gave me massages, trimmed my pubes, and even offered to do my laundry and dry it with the hair dryer. Oh yeah, she also sucked and f_cked my brains out. Just don't make 'em like that in the states.

That's what my TGF does too. Curious to see the bro's see the same thing. Can picture the "wrinkled nose" you describe, kind of funny to watch her make that face, same one she uses if I sit on the can with the door ajar. Must be genetic, hehehe...
She doesn't complain, but she doesn't need too, with that kind of expresssion. So I guess punting and stoges will have to be somewhat mutually exclusive.

Could be. I've visited a couple of factories in Havana including Partagas near the capital. My understanding is that each of them manufactures all kinds of cigars, and they certainly sell all types in their factory stores.

True, alll the shops sell all the cigars. However not all the factories make all the cigars. Generally a vitola for a brand is made in only one site. At most if cigars from the same brand are made in more than one place, at least it has to be different vitolas. A vitola from any specific brand is only made at one location.
What is known as the Partagas factory is in the capital La Habana. Officially they have changed the names of most of the Factories. But everyone still calls them by their old names -even the signs outside. One easy way to check where your cigars were made is to check for the code printed in the Box. Cigars made at the Partagas factory carry the letters EAT stamped in the box.
The Romeo & Julieta factory (also in downton Habana) is now officially the Briones Montoto factory and the boxes from this factory have the letters BM printed in them.
Si puedes leer Espaņol, you may look here what cigar is made where. In case you cannot, just remember that the word for "factory. is "fabrica". This should be enough to read through and to figure what is made where.

Thanks for the info. Wish my Spanish was better. Does the second-from-the-bottom chart from your second link suggest that the code for the Partagas factory should be FPG not EAT? And does the last chart from your second link say that R&J's are typically produced at the Sancti Spiritus factory? If so, it would appear that R&J's are made at more than one factory, as I was told in Havana.
Regardless, I wish I could return to the Eden short time hotel to figure out what I was truly smoking. No matter what it was, it was a good smoke. I'd be happy to share a cigar and a rum with you any time.

RR, yes. the chart says FPG. But they also use EAT. I am not sure when they use which. But anything with EAT or FPG is from the Partagas factory.
Your second question? Yes, it suggest that. However they say the llist is accurate 90%. Go figure! Sorry I gave you a link to a site that says they are accurate 90%.
Anyway, take into account that not all cigars from a certain brand are always top. Some sizes one brand always rank first. For example for double coronas Punch and Hoyo de Monterrey always come on top. And so on.

The same guy that owns The Nurse operates at the Oriental Hotel off the Bamboo Bar... excellent selection by the smoke or by the box. And the bar encourages patrons to park there while enjoying their choice. As large as any stock in town, I would judge.
