Has over 30,000 fish....yes 450B to enter, 300B for kids....pretty expensive by Thai standards. The flyers have a great white on them, I believe there are sharks in there, but how big I do not know.

Any BTF members been to Siam Paragon yet and what is your impression.
It's unbelievable that it took 6 hours to get out of the car park - must be on the opening day (Friday) and the following week-end (Saturday and Sunday)
Any TTM or foot-reflexology centres there ?

I've been...it's a shopping mall...hardly interesting....you need a real feminine side to get in tune with a shopping mall......I left after 10 minutes and went for a few beers

I just got back from Siam Paragon. It has a big car showcase with the latest ferraris on display. Aside from the pretty girls around that was pretty much the only highlight of the entire place. It's really an overhyped mall where maybe.0001% of Thailand's visitors and.0000001% of Thailand's population can afford to shop there. The whole place was jam packed with window shoppers crowding the food courts. I saw nothing all that interesting there, just the usual high end overpriced nonsense that you can buy back in the U.S. for maybe 40% less than what it costs in Bangkok.
I really don't see the point in this shopping mall. Those that can afford it probably won't be coming to Thailand just to shop at one mega mall. Those that can't afford it won't be doing much there at all. I suppose most of the income will be made from the nation gaining "face."

I make that calculation 6.48 Thai people can afford to shop there. Now I have definately seen more Paragon bags lovingly carried home in the last 48 hours than that.
Was there a reputable source for that statistic.
Owned by the same people as Emporium....so I get 5% discount by default with my Emporium card.
Still can't see me rushing back though....

With all the mixed reviews of Paragon, let me add to positive issues:
1. another big airconditioned complex where Thais can spend their weekends without having to pay for the aircondition.
2. other shopping centers will be less crowded.
Paragon, besides the cars, offers nothing new - it's just bigger - or too big and thus inconvinient.

My TGF and her girlfriend went there on the opening weekend and she confirmed the price for the aquarium mentioned previously in this thread. She said it was way too crowded, that "we do bump, bump, bump all day have to say excuse me, excuse me!" So a bit mobbed that weekend. Also said it was too crowded to get into the aquarium.
Sounds to me like more of the same. But my TGF's a veteran window shopper (like most Thai ladies, lol) and will probably be back there at some point. Me, yeah, I'll check it out eventually I guess, with TGF wlking point.
