I know it is about mobiles and if things are original in MBK.
Well last week I walked into KFC (Kentucky boiled in oil chicken). The waitress said ORIGINAL or SPICY. The spicy sounded a bit dodgy so I asked for Original. I moved to the table and stuck my teeth into the first piece of chook and it was ORIGINAL.
So fellas you can buy original at MBK.

perhaps get a phone from a mate in the UK. We get free upgrades every 12 months here so its easy to find someone with a 12 month old phone they will sell for peanuts.
So far all the ones I have tried have accepted thai pre-paid sims

I need 4 phones when in Bangkok - one with my UK number, one with my Thai Sim for the wife, one with another Thai Sim for my Thai tilac and one with yet another Thai Sim for any pickups that decide to join my roadshow. Anyone else have that problem ?
I normally buy a new cheap Thai phone and sell it on ebay when back in the UK, or buy a decent looking 2nd hand one from MBK and then sell it back at the end of the trip. Much better loosing a few hundred B than forgetting which sim is which or to change sims in the one phone and end up with egg on your face.

My TGF has a knackered phone, Ive used it twice when in Bkk,
I arrive in three weeks, and will have to buy her a new one from MBK.
I reckon she will want one of these all dancing ones.
To stop getting ripped off, can anyoe suggest where to go for good service, and where should I draw the line
on cost, after all a phones a phone, also for just ringing up country, which service provider is best.

Any bro know if it is possible to rent a cell phone versus buying one? I know in Laos you can rent one but LOS isn't exactly Laos now. Planning to be in BKK for a week and was looking for a mobile phone. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Something interesting, I managed to get a 2nd hand phone programmed with Russian menu, 3,000 B for phone and 500 B for programming.

I MBK there is 100 shops and x 10 phones. Just walk from shop to shop you will not be ripped off. You can hussel the price to you want.

Why not just get an AIS sim, then ask them to put 2 numbers on 1 sim card... saves a lot of time and space (cant imagine holding 4 phones) 2 phones are max for me....

Make sure your phone supports 2-lines - most newer Nokias do, but not all phones can handle that.
Didn't know AIS can put two lines on one card - how cool.
