I spent about 4 hours in Pantip back in Sept. and I went to every single floor and every vendor that sold DVD's or VCD's also had some selection of porno. As a matter of fact in some cases the porno selection was bigger then the regular movie selection ( NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!  ). Every place I walked past they would call me over with You Want Porno Mister or even come out and pull me to their booth or shop. I started to think I was in Patpong being accosted by hello girls  . There is definitely no shortage of porno in Pantip. Peace

I bought a half dozen DVDs in the Sukhumvit/Nana night market area in May. All were very good quality. I think I paid about 130 baht each. I did buy about 12 titles in all. I've gotten normal (non XXX) DVDs in another area (Silom) for about 100 baht, when I bought 6 or 8 of them.
The Porn ones were 100% good. The other ones were 75% good, others were just bad handycams copies. (Remember if it's brand new, it's probably not *real* good quality). X men 2 was good, but Holes and The Core were junk.

I bought 10 Porn VCD for 600 bhats in the Panthip plaza. They had boxes and boxes of porn VCD's in a Car in the parking lot.
The guy said that they was a serious polic crack down. All the VCD's were good but for one that is screwed up.

Damn, there are too many shops in Pantip. I had a little bit of time to check this place out today and was blown away by the amount of shops. Too many in fact to go though. I did go into a couple of shops and they seemed real seedy about the dvds. Didn't know what regional coding was, and also put away all selections sporatically due to supposed police raid. The guy was real scary looking and told me to sit and stay and be very quiet. after a couple of minutes, I said I'd come back later, as he motioned for me to sit back down as if that would get them busted. This happened on the 2nd floor btw. Can anyone recommend a particular shop for xxx and regular dvds where you are able to check them out b4 buying them? I'm real short on time and any help would be appreciated.
btw, bus number 511 (air cond) will take you to pantip from nana for 8 baht.
