Well guys I am coming over in 6 days Yahoo!! I could always buy a couple of cameras to bring over with me from the duty free shop!!!!
I will just charge a slight commision!!
enough for a lady per night for each camera... What do you think..
Alright I know I am a bastard but hey the cheaper I can get my trips the more often I can come!!

A quick question on how Thai Internet prices compare with actual store prices.
I want to by a digital camera (Sony DSC-P8) for a TG living in LOS. The best price I can find on a Thai web site for a camera store in MBK is 17,000 baht. Would that be the price I'd actually pay if I sniffed round MBK looking for the lowest price?
(Prices in Taiwan for that camera are US$75 cheaper, but it comes with a strict Taiwan-only warranty - useless for me.)

This is my 1st post so bear with me 
In The Netherlands (my home country) this Sony camera is about B 20.300 cheapest. So considering this I would say B 17.000 is a nice price for BKK.

I found a good trick when buying - haggle firtst, get to the absolute lowest price you can. THen say you got o get cash and come back with one thousand less. the guy will refuse to sell, then trawl through your pockets looking for more moneyt where you find approx 200-350. If they dont go for that just shrug and say mai Pen Lai. Usually the do the deal for about less than your earlier bargaining was able to get.
I bought several things this way and they guys generally know it is a scaam - but the seem to enjoy it. The better you bargain, the more face you get.

I wanted to buy a Digital Camera a few years ago while I was in Japan. I looked at a camera store in the Osaka Kansai Airport and at a major photo store in Kyoto.
Some of the models had English language instructions, but they had "International Warranties" that were not honored by NikonUSA, CannonUSA, etc. The sales people discouraged me from buying in Japan because the software bundle was a little different in Japan (doesn't run on Windows).
Prices are cheaper at places like http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ anyway.

7 Baht per print is the norm but have seen a lot of places that do it for 5! Cheap!!
