Back in '98 I bought a pair for $50 to compliment several suits I bought. Can't remember the name of the place, but it was on Silom Rd. near the Silom Shopping center. The guy told me about having to 'elevator' some shoes he made for Sylvester Stallone. Tried a few other places besides, but they just looked bewildered when I asked for a size 12.

Kaisersoldaten, If the price range you are looking for is US$30 to US$40 then I think that your best bet is either the Robinson's on Sukhumvit or Ratchada OR the shoe stores at MBK. The other good Dept. Stores ( Emporioum, Central, Siam Centre ) would have a very limited range of shoes in your price category. Of course, there are a number of stand-alone shoe stores along Sukhumvit and other locations - But you will have to be careful here regarding quality.

I've been pretty happy with the Udom Agg stores which are all over the place. There's one in MBK.

Bros Thank you very much. I think someone should open a Payless Franchise in Thailand. Anyone want to put up some money to build a Wal Mart. That big vacant sloth of land between New Petchburi and Rachada would be a find location. Why not just bulldoze Siam Square and put one in there. No guns though. Thanx again bros
