OK guys, So I bought this really cool Land Rover Defender 90 just before my recent trip to LOS. This Rover is really special because it is so unusual here in the US.
Anyhow, it is something I am really into right now. I discovered the Camel Trophy store (The Camel Trophy race is a major Land Rover event that has launched this clothing line)
I am interested in finding an inexpensive source for these clothes. I am only aware of two places in LOS to get these. A lil' INSANELY expensive shop off Sukhummvit and I think Soi 7 near the Beer Garden. The other place I am aware of is in a shopping mall in Pattaya and the mall had US type prices which I refuse to pay.
If I wanted to pay US prices I would pay them when I get home and not have to carry the products half way around the f*cking planet.
I hear so much about the China town market and some others but I do not know where they are. Any advice on where,when and how best to get there would be appreciated.
I am also a collector of Thai swords. I can usually find some in the tourist areas but may need to go to more "Locals only" areas to find better quality etc.
any help with finding Camel Trophy clothes or Thai swords will be appreciated.

you obviously look for fakes.
pratunam, try the UG's of bayoke 1 and 2. plentyful there. also no brand camel trophy style adventure gear. probably 150 to 200 for shirts, 300 to 450 for army and adventure style pants, 100 for t's.

but a cople of years ago I bought from zen in the world trade center
dont know if the prices are same as the us but they are the real macoy

as for Camel clothing I've picked up knock off from the street stall's fairly cheep
ie x2 pairs of trousers (pants in the US) altered to fit and delivered to my hotel tb500 (that was on samui)
One short sleeve shirt from a stall on Sukhumvit tb250.
The trousers have had a lot of use and still look good and are perfect for L.O.S as they are light and look quite smart when teamed with a shirt. That is after geting rid of the stupid draw string system and haveing a propper hem put on them.

Cyborg, now l know nothing about Camel Trophy clothing, but is it Camel as in the cigarette brand? If so, there is a Camel clothing shop at Future Park Rangsit. It's on the ground floor, very close to the escalator that goes to the basement. Pricewise l have no idea if expensive or not but it always seems to have some sort of clearance sale on.

Every central dept store and robinsons as well I think have this camel stuff, not sure how prices relate to US, but obviously will be dearer than Pratunam etc.

There is a camel shop in MBK selling the real thing, at least the prices suggest so, I am not expert on this stuff but it did look like good quality clothing.
I bought a pair of casual shoes there, very nice and comfy.

I do not know anything about the Camel stuff but I saw a shop at MBK who had all different kinds of Thai Swords or they are better known as Samurai Swords. This guy had a good collection of swords. His shop is on the 4th or 5th floor in MBK I do not remember exactly but there is only one floor in MBK where they do have big internet cafe. This shop is after you cross the internet cafe. A small shop but has stuff like good quality fake guns Swiss Army Knifes, Swords and other artifacts.
He bargains very hard but in the process reduces prices. I started bargaining from 13000 THB and at the end he was willing to give me a set of 4 swords for 4000 THB??
