I very recently did some checking and didn't find the prices to be much cheaper in BKK (or Hong Kong). In the end I ordered from Crucial wit hthe 5% off and got an Olympus 256MB card for £55.

My feel has been that any hardware, like flash cards, etc... are simply cheaper in the states. At worst, you will pay the same price - though, if you do, make sure you get the paperwork to get your VAT (taxes) back at the airport. Takes roughly 10 minutes, and well worth it.
Otherwise, I just got a 1gigabyte Flash card for $150 in the US. I doubt I would find a similar price in Thailand.

Hey Monty Dog. A 512 compact flash costs 5,300 baht in Thailand. A gig microdrive costs 10,000. Dont know about smaller mem cards - I dont touch them.
