Will I be able to find Japanese anime in Pantip Plaza? I'm not looking for a sexy anime, just famouse japanese anime such as "Sprited Away", "Howl's moving castle", etc.

MBK 3rd floor pass the cellphones. in the far corner. has a good anime shop with dvds and stuff.
Pantip has anime but most of the mainstream titles or big movie titles.
There has been spotted a 50+ DVD boxset all anime includes spirited away etc. can be found in different locations. the cost is around 4000 baht. not bad saying one disc is around 150-200 baht each.
(I saw it a month ago at the now defunct silom dvd stand (near the skytrain exit) and pratunam center (built a few months ago)

Not sure if the interest is still there, but I thought I'd put this into the thread for posterity's sake.
The best venue in Bangkok- bar none- for Anime, Japanese and Korean film is located on the fourth floor in Fortune IT Mall.
Just about 10 meters toward the hotel end from the escalators you'll see a bright lime green sign with a bright gold "DVD" script over a white "Movies 2003" script. The walls around and inside are painted in a cream yellow.
If you pass to the back room you'll find the four girl partners within. They get new material every week, warranty their quality and will refund you any purchases you're not happy with.
They also get new merchandise every Friday and load it onto the top of their film jacket clipboards. Quality is always top-notch. The only problem I've ever encountered there was my own fault for not noticing there were no English sub-titles to a particular film I'd bought. When returned it was refunded on the spot.
