Guess he never got back. If you have gold rolex, solid or two tone; I just dont advise bringing to BK. Few reasons, the obvious being the security issue. More then likely your going to have a half dozen poor women coming in and out of your room. So the temptation to steal for most of them would be great. Second, the weather. It rains alot during the rain season, so your gold rolex is going to loose some luster, getting pounded with rain constantly. And will need to be rebuffed.
About, servicing. Your going to bring you watch all the way to BK to get serviced. It takes them 2 or 3 days to service. So your going to be withou the watch for a few days, and then afer getting it serviced your going to allow it to get rainied on? Makes no sense.
Just buy a stainless steel omega or movado watch before you leave and you will be fine. Leave the Rolex at home.

I leave my Rolex at home and use a cheap Timex for travel. If it gets stolen, so what.

IT, It's a wind up! Right (no pun intended) 
I've been living here for over 12 months now and I have never been "pounded with rain constantly"...
What do you do to get "pounded with rain constantly" lie spread eagled (one word or two Dr. L?) on a beach. 
But then if I were to go out in the rain I would (Wait for it)... take an Umbrella.  Honest…
An umbrella is a lot cheaper that a "stainless steel omega or movado".
So IT can't you find another way of telling us that you own a real Gold Rolex? Jeeeez I'll bet you leave the Jaguar Key fob on the bar as well...
That's a sure way for the DJ to announce to all and sundry that you have a Jag. It worked for me in 1974.
