Are books from UK or the US cheaper in Thailand? I will be in BKK in one or two months and I wonder wether it is worth while buying the books I am looking for (e.g. novels) over there?

I bought Bram Stoker's Dracula for 95THB at Asia Books from Penguin Classics because I needed something to read on the beach. That's cheaper than Amazon but a special "Classics" deal. For contemporary books in English, I don't know.

Kinokuniya at World Trade offer a 20% discount on the top 20 or so English language bestsellers. The discount is on all the time too... Be lucky,

I regularly buy books from Asia Books, Bookazine & Kinokuniya & find the prices are comparable to the printed price in pounds/dollars on the back. +/- 5% I would say. The selection is just as good as UK/US. Imported magazines are more expensive!
