Higher quality models can be found at The Fine Arts Shop at River City Mall [+66.2.237.7554], or The Narayaha Shopping Mall directly across the street from the World Trade Center. If you will be in Vietnam, though, the best value for money is in any of a number of shops in HCMC specializing in wooden models - a dozen shops located within 100 metres of Lam Son Square [Opera House].

I found a English expat run wood place in Chiang Mai. he was making wooden models that were some of the best I have seen. I got a torpedo patrol boat and a bird dog spotter plane. Good price. Makes things up to the size of aircraft carriers at about 3 or 4 feet long. Really good detail. Send me a message if you want contact details. Will be home in about 3 weeks. In Africa working now. Have his cd catalogue in my house up country.
