What's happened to all the street market vendors on Suk Road? Where did they all disappear to? Last night (a Monday) I'm walking from Asoke to Suk 11 and all the vendors are gone. The same thing happened on Friday evening. Has there been some sort of civic decree getting rid of them, or have they all gone home for the holidays? Is it just me, or is the appeal of lower Suk Road declining rapidly? It's not half the place it was, even 6 months ago.

Monday is cleaning day. Vendors are prohibited to occupy pavements on that day. Also Silom is virtually empty on that day.

Huh? Seriously? I'm not doubting what you're saying Doc, but they've always been around every other Monday that I can remember. And where were they last Friday? I know Thursday is usually their day off, but that doesn't explain what's going on at the moment. Needless to say I'll wander down there after work tonight and it will be back to normal, making me look a complete knob. Oh well...

So is it still scobie or Mr. knob from now on? Cheerio PS: I can hardly believe that the vendors will heed this Monday cleanin' thingy.
