Does anyone know where there are shops selling plastic model hobby kits. Tamiya, Revell etc Aircraft, military vehicles etc. I know of one in Soi Soonvichai off Phetburi.

I think there is a Tamiya store somewhere along Soi 24, on the same side as Emporium, about 500 m from Sukhumvit main road.
You could also try Discovery Centre.

There used to be a big one on RCA towards the Rama 9 end....near the S&P...definately had Tamiya stuff......don't know if still there

There is a "kit" store in WTC. Can't remember which floor, but above the "furniture" levels, and 1 level below the "food" level. Mainly dealt with fantasy figures, but believe they have model kits. Near Istan? store and the kinokuniya book store (maybe same level as bookstore, maybe 1 level up or down). Has been there for YEARS, so should still be around.

Confirm the Big show in WTC but also try chinwtown many many shops in "supan lek" did it spell that right? The shopping complex next to the river "underground"

The one in RCA is still there, looks like it is an actual Tamiya shop, no name on it just the Tamiya logo.

I think there was 2 years ago a high class store on the second floor (or 3rd) of MBK (BTS side but furthest away from the entrance, above the paintingshops on the ground level). This one has more the BMW car model stuff and such for grown ups.
And some cheap booths on the top floor (or 1 below that) where all the video gamers hang out, this on on the oposite side of MBK, the other tower. Here you will find more of the kids stuff. If any of those is still there after 2 years I don't know. I have seen a lot of shops come and go inside 2 years there.
I don't think MBK is the place to be if you want bargains or the biggest selction of 1 item, but I think that if you walk all over the place you can find about anything.

The Toy Stalls were still there as of about 6 weeks back, exactly were you said right at the end of Level 3 or 4. Lots of Remote Control stuff and some Model Kits.

Old enough to have a house, car etc in Thailand with plenty of time in the daytime with nothing to do.
To the rest of the grown ups, thanks for the input. Will be up the road to Bangkok in a couple of weeks and will check out those mentioned.
Not sure on WTC one. I know there used to be one but went there 6 months or so ago and it had gone. Nice torch shop in its place though.
