I spent another 3 days in thailand in september and I went to pratunam market.. sure it was cheap similar to kaosan once you bater them down and elsewhere..
just I guess has more variety so I like it..
BUT! its not really a wholesalers market..
if anyone knows korea its like dongdaemun..
just alot of cheap sellers who bater in big blocked district.
what I want to know is.. where are they buying there clothes from??
I need the cheapest prices and in bulk..
can anyone help???

Not necessarily a fixed place....
Depends on the store....some are family businesses whee the retail outlet is fed by a family shop that makes clothes....lots of them in around the Din Daeng area around Thanon Ratcha Songkro, seen whole rows of them, all feeding a single shop in Pratunam.
Others are selling printed T shirts en masse bourght direct from factory outlets, again each one can be a different place, often not in BKK.
Depends on what you want to buy really.
Bow Bae is another huge clothing market....again same can apply and many small manufacturers selling direct to the public.

Baw Bae is a good place..
if you can buy in quantity, consider having them made for you..
there are places that can help you with this.. they will take a small commission (say 5%)..
but you need at least a gross of each item for this..

Kind of hard to explain as I get there by memory...
If you get the shopping map for Bkk.. look for it, a woman did this and it shows Baw Bae on the map.. I can't remember her name either, but it also has a great guide to JJ market too..
it is in the general area of MBK, but futher West.. you keep walking and you will come to a klong, then it is right.. a reasonable walk for almost anyone... just keep taking in fluids..

as you know most of the street vendors in bkk are selling the same stuff..
statues, lighters, lamps, niknaks of those sorts..
where are they all buying them from?
they cant be ordering through agents or going directly to the factory.. there must be a wholesalers market where factory persons are selling direct to the retailers
where is this place?? is it the famous weekend market I hear about?
how can it be almost every street vendor is selling the same goods.. they must be all going to the same place to get them...
regarding Tshirts and clothes.. does anyone have any more information on where they might be getting them from? BOBAE market I have heard of.. I was going to go there last time.. but someone told me its no different to pratunam market. its retailers markets..
where are the people from bobae getting their stocks from??
has anyone been to the weekend market?
do they sell all the niknaks eg thai statutes buddha, woodcavings, lamps, all those thai merchandise you see in stores and street vendors all over thailand??
do they also have all the clothes??

They make them in factories. Boo Baee is not the same cloth they sell most working cloth and students stuff. Many off the shops in pratunam have factories you can order from the shops or they buy from each other. You need to find the source. The factory is outside bangkok some were or upstair if they are really small. Many time people use the same factory. I lived INSIDE pratunam for 3 years and I am sick of the place heheh.

1) some of it falls off the back of a truck,
2) the factory owner's brother owns a shop in Pratunam and gets the over-production.
3) licensees can simply work the staff extra hours to produce more stock which can be unloaded through the brother-in-law's shop

Not quite sure, but I think this stuff, like the cosmetics at Klong Toey, comes from Cambodia.
Travel to Poi Pet and see what you can accomplish.
