Hi, Going for the 4th time to LOS in august - this time with fiancee (non Thai). We are 4 weeks in Thailand and around and are going to tailormade a dress and a tailcoat for us. Friends did that in 2004, the bride was/is Thai and spend 17.000 TBH for a own designed dress, western style, made of according to her "the best Thai silk". We hope to get a similar deal (20-30k) for the dress. Q's: Does 20-30.00 THB sounds resonable for a own designed dress in good fabrics? How much for a black tailcoat in not so good fabric (only gonna wear once) ? Most importent: Where to buy, sukhumvit is not so good. Silom road maybe? Sorry for bad grammar, I'm not native English speaking. BTW, hope for a RT in late august/early september since I'm by my self in BKK then

Don't go to a tailors, go to a proper Wedding shop. There are several along Petchburi, one at the entrance to RCA. Thong Lor (Soi 55) also has several, one at the mouth of soi 9, one opposite and several more further down. Also Ekkamai has a few, a web search will probably bring up something, but look around, they will do a far beter job of the dress than some tailor shop.
