I will try and get this right...somehow. A thread on shopping for the not too familiar items in BKK. Living in BKK, I do miss the things of OZ.
Maybe it could be along the version of 'if you want a particular item' and without starting a new thread, it could be under here. Just a line of what you want. OK it is going to get hijacked along the way, just got to put up with it.
I had been looking for Gravox (gravy maker), not the one serving size, but a small box of it. After much searching I found it in Central store Chit Lom. Lamb chops at a good price in Emporium food hall, 2, 3 or 4 in a pack.
At the moment I would like to find an outlet for good bread, not Foodland, Big C, Tesco or Villa stuff, I mean good grain or wholemeal bread, any ideas.
OK, if you are looking for something, you may have to go through a page or so, but at least it may be here if people get used to it.

I had the same problem where I used to work and I bought a breadmaker and made my own. Fairly simple just add all ingredients and let it go, the machine does the rest.
Well it is in an appliance thread!!!

Try the Chatuchat Weekend Market. Lots of biker stuff.
Come to think of it, a lot of stuff that will come up on this thread can be found there.
Also there's a bunch of sporting goods stores clustered around the National Stadium in Bangkok that might have your stuff, plus a sporting goods superstore in Bangna, a click from Secon Square, that might have what you want.
I know, that's a lot of "mights"...
...BUT FER SURE you want to go to the annual Biker Show at BITEC Convention Hall in Bangna. ANYTHING you could POSSIBLY want will be there - INCLUDING the biggest assembly of hotties under one roof anywhere in the world!

Push bike stuff....Cannondale shop on soi Nana Nua
Don't bank on the national Stadium, I was there trawling the shops yesterday....no sign of biking gear....
Gonna be pricey here though due to import tax on sporting goods....
Good thing about this thread is other than his usual 'comment' Duffy won't be appearing in this thread again......

Push bike stuff at Probike on Sarisin Rd - north side of Lumpini. Reasonable selection for Bkk but choice of size is limited.
I ordered a lot of my stuff off the web from the UK..lots of websites have'end of season' deals and even including postage to Thailand they will be cheaper.
