Is there a stockist of Tritium (Uzi, Tresser etc) watches in Bangkok, and are the prices any lower than the UK etc?
I quite fancy one of these as they are very good in the dark and being a nocturnal person this suits me down to the ground
I have found with shades such as Oakley, Rayban etc there are no significant savings to be made, this may be the case with the watches.

I find that high end watches are generally some 30% cheaper in Bangkok than in the UK.
Not sure 100% about Tritium though - they are more of a fashion watch.
Very true about Rayban or Oakley - why we have to pay London prices I have no idea.

Gus have you looked at the Glow in the dark watches from Luminox? I am looking for the Luminox Men's F-117 Nighthawk Watch. It is $500.00 in the USA I have not looked in BKK yet as it seems everything is more expensive here due to duties. I was surprised to read some watches being 30% cheaper.

Watches are only subject to 5% import duty and VAT is considerably lower in Thailand than the UK.
The UK is one of the most expensive places in the world to buy luxury items.
I buy most of my watches from Pendulum http://www.pendulum.co.th - I find their prices very competitive. Basically in line with the prices that you can see over the internet (and well below UK retail prices).
Incidentally like most watch shops they give big discounts - over 40% on Franck Muller watches as they are the sole distributor.

I checked out the pendelum web site, some nice watches.
Maybe if I go around the shopping malls I may find someone who sells Tritium watches.

Nice looking watch. In the U.S. it is discounted to less than 350 USD at many places. Closer to 250 with rubber wrist strap.

just a quick note. if you can find out the distributor of the watch brand (like Diethelm (now BKSH) ) or others. head over to the brand manager there, introduce yourself, and most if not all can get you a pretty sizable discount. its volume sales for people at these levels.
my friend picked up a Roger Dubois which would have ran at 1M THB but was a discounted through the Brand Manager at 680K. Just about the same price range if purchased in HKG although without leaving TH.
