Went with GF to Chatuchak market today to look at dogs. She loves the Pomeranian dogs. There are a lot of dogs for sale ranging in cost from 1.2k to 14k. Guess which ones she liked? Of course the most expensive  Just curious if any bros ever bought a dog in Chatuchak before?
14k seems a lot of money to spend on a puppy, even if it is a pure breed Pomeranian.

bought the same breed there for 2,000 baht..... he is a great house dog, the family loves him...... he is now upcountry living the dream....... make sure you take him to a vet for the usual shots and de worming right away

Bought at least 4 dogs there.... 3 very common Thai dogs for around 200 baht (puppies) a piece and one Chow Chow (6 months) for 6,000 baht.
The common dogs had initial problems, but after a visit to the doctor we enjoyed them for a long time.
The Chow Chow had never medical problems.... only behavior problems... didn't like women. And it couldn't bark... which was not such a problem.

I must be in the premium section since the lowest price on Pomeranian I saw today were 5k. The 14k looked like a pure breed and very clean. The owner showed the booklet with vaccination shots and stuff. Anyway, I guess I will keep looking.

Sounds to me more likely that the sellers regard you as a 'premium farang'. Send a Thai, male, friend to the same seller and negotiate the price - maybe the Thai will get a much better price

Real men donīt get Pomeranians. I had no choice but to live with one (it was a wedding gift from my inlaws - the f***ers!!!).... well, technically not a Pomeranian, it was a Spitz, but to me they are basically the same shit.
Those little things bark and bark and bark. See? That is the problem of small dogs. They are so afraid of eveything (cuz everything is bigger than them) that they resort to barking everytime something happens, like when someone comes into the house.
