Icicle
Hey gents,

I went a little crazy with the shopping and now I have way more stuff than I can comfortably fit into my little suitcase.   Does anyone have any advice on the best way of shipping stuff back to the states?  Time is not really an issue, but I would prefer not to break the bank.  I'm currently in Pattaya, but any advice regarding Bangkok would be helpful as well.

regards,

Icicle

You could also send it as unaccompanied baggage however, I'm not sure how these rates compare with Fedex etc.

You could also use air-freight...rates starts from 19/20baht per kg.......but if the total volume is quite big,
I suggest sea-freight......way cheaper....

Thanks for the useful info, fellas.  At the moment, I'm leaning towards air freight if that price quote of 20baht/kilo was accurate.  I was expecting to pay a helluva a lot more to ship overseas.

Hehe, and no, I didn't buy domiciles for transport.  Just a stack of clothes, some shoes, souvenirs for the folks, bric-a-brac, and miscellaneous Xmas presents to be.

One more question, does anyone know where the nearest post office/Fed Ex/ Mailboxes Etc./ is to Soi Nana?  I'm asking for future reference.  I'm still in Pattaya, but I think I can figure out Soi Post Office.

thanks gents,

Icicle

Caronte ,
Air-Freight to the U.S. at 19/20 Baht/Kg.??
Are you sure ?
At that price I could pack myself into a large box and Air-Freight myself to the U.S. for just B 1,720 against the cheapest Air-Fare of B 26,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!
