I keep hearing people saying "Paep Diao" or Phep Diaw (whichever way you spell it). What does it actually mean?

When literally translated it would mean "wait a moment". My experience with my TGF, varies from 1 hour to 4 hours... so these days, when I hear the words "Paep daew"... I will ask how many hours... "kii chua mong"?

In spoken Thai (yes, that what is spoken without a dictionary) the ro (wait) is often omitted because the sentence already implies waiting as as 'baep neung' or 'baep deeo'.
I did made a typing error in 'kur'. It should be 'kru'.
