So, here's an attempt to list some frequent Net abbreviations. I'll also try and include some common ones here that you might not see somewhere else.
General usage:
FWIW = For What It's Worth
IMHO = In My Humble Opinion
TTFN = Ta Ta For Now (bye)
YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary
WTF = What The f_ck?
IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
IANA... = I Am Not A... (used as in IANAD = I am not a Doctor)
LOL = Laughing Out Loud
ROTFLMAO = Rolling On The Floor, Laughing My Ass Off
Note: these are off the top of my head, I'll add others if/as I think of them

BK is right, GRO is Guest Relations Officer.
A popular term used in hotels, private clubs, niteclubs etc for staff whose duties are to see to the needs of guests, obviously but not clearly, as what this means depends on the type of establishment.
I know someone who got a rude shock when she realised what her new job at a private club entailed, thinking that it was a legit position requiring her diploma in mass communications, something not revealed during the interview process, needless to say she quit the next day.
